The 38-year-old pop star has been engaged to tech businessman Michael Polansky, 46, for just under a year and they are set to tie the knot at some point but she really wants to keep the whole thing under wraps.<\/p>\n
She told E! News: “I’m desperately trying to keep that so private but I would say I can promise that it will be the best day of my life.”<\/p>\n
The ‘Disease’ hitmaker had insisted that Michael propose to her with a blade of grass if he ever wanted to get down on one knee and even though he followed through with her wish, she now has the traditional ring.<\/p>\n
She said: “He said to me, \u2018If I ever proposed to you, how do I do that? And I said, \u2018Just get a blade of grass from the backyard and wrap it around my finger.\u2019 And he did. He did that when he proposed.<\/p>\n
\n“It’s the blade of grass. It’s the green ring that I wear.”<\/p>\n
\nDespite wanting to keep the whole thing to herself, the ‘Bad Romance’ singer previously joked that she could see herself opting for a simple day but it could just as easily turn into a “circus” of a wedding.<\/p>\n
\nSpeaking on ‘Jimmy Kimmel, Live’, she said: “We actually talk about going to the courthouse, just the two of us, and ordering Chinese food.<\/p>\n
\n“Knowing me, also, it could become like a circus with unicorns.”<\/p>\n
\nGaga – whose real name is Stefani Joanne Angelina Germanotta – has also explained that her significant other was able to see her for who she really is “outside” of her stage persona.<\/p>\n
\nShe told Vogue: “It was really kind of special.<\/p>\n
\n“I met this totally supportive, loving human being who wanted to get to know me\u2014outside of Lady Gaga!”<\/p>\n
