Pascal Ibgui<\/b><\/a> didn\u2019t find lasting love with <\/span>Joan Vassos<\/b><\/a> when he competed on season 1 of <\/span>The Golden Bachelorette<\/span><\/i><\/a>, and he revealed that he\u2019s still single after he self-eliminated from the show.<\/p>\n \u201cI\u2019m single, and I\u2019m not single because nobody wants me, I\u2019m single because the one I want [doesn\u2019t] want me,\u201d Pascal, 69, said about his current relationship status during the Thursday, March 6, episode of the \u201cBachelor Happy Hour\u201d podcast<\/a>.<\/p>\n Pascal \u2013 who said he met someone online a few months ago and invited her to visit him in Chicago \u2013 went on to address past comments he made in which he seemingly implied he only dates younger women. Back in November 2024, he told Us Weekly<\/em><\/a>, \u201cYes, I\u2019m old, but I don\u2019t go out with a 72-year-old woman.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cAbsolutely wrong, absolutely wrong,\u201d he said about the assumption that he is only interested in \u201cmuch younger\u201d women<\/a>. \u201cI think I made a comment. Sometimes the language barrier \u2026 and when I look back \u2026 I said, \u2018I don\u2019t go out with a 72-year-old woman.\u2019 That\u2019s not what I\u2019m trying to say. I said, \u2018I want to go out with an age-appropriate [woman].\u2019 I don\u2019t go out with anyone under 50, 55.\u201d<\/p>\n After noting that he has received messages from \u201cyoung girls\u201d on social media, Pascal insisted he would only date women between 55 to 65 years old.<\/p>\n \u201cDepend[s] upon the person,\u201d he continued of his dating preferences. \u201cYou could have a 65-year-old woman who know[s] how to take care of herself, who\u2019s into health and fitness, who know[s] how to dress. \u2026 I have no problem with the age, but it has to be age-appropriate. So, again, [setting] the record straight. I do not go out with young women.\u201d<\/p>\n Pascal made his franchise debut<\/a> when he pursued a relationship with Joan, 62, during the inaugural season of The Golden Bachelorette<\/em> in 2024. He self-eliminated during the October 30, 2024, episode, and Joan went on to get engaged to Chock Chapple<\/strong> during the season finale on November 14, 2024.<\/p>\n While Joan is now happy with Chock, 61<\/a>, she was open about how much Pascal\u2019s exit from the show hurt her.<\/p>\n
