Christopher McDonald<\/strong><\/a> believes Travis Kelce<\/a><\/strong>\u2019s acting skills may just be as impressive as his football moves.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m gonna give him thumbs up on his acting chops,\u201d McDonald, 70, exclusively told Us Weekly<\/i> on Saturday, March 1, at GBK, MEND & Bodywell\u2019s Pre-Academy Awards Luxury Lounge, presented by KC Chic Designs. \u201cHe was surprisingly good and he\u2019s way too handsome for a football player.\u201d<\/p>\n

All jokes aside, the Happy Gilmore<\/i><\/a> actor is thrilled to have Kelce, 35, make a cameo in the highly anticipated sequel that is rumored<\/a> to be released this July.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe\u2019s a great guy. I had a lovely time meeting him,\u201d he added of the Kansas City Chiefs tight end. \u201cI\u2019m a fan \u2014 although his team keeps beating my Buffalo Bills. Josh Allen<\/a><\/strong>? Now that\u2019s a rockstar quarterback right there.\u201d<\/p>\n

Netflix announced in May 2024 that Happy Gilmore 2 was in the works with Sandler set to reprise his role as the titular character. The cult classic followed Happy, an unsuccessful ice hockey player, as he [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Although Allen, 28, will not be sharing the big screen with Kelce, the NFL player is gearing up to marry<\/a> Hailee Steinfeld<\/strong>. While McDonald assured fans that he doesn\u2019t follow his favorite players\u2019 relationships, he can\u2019t help but support Allen\u2019s love story.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe way they look at each other? Oh my god, that is love right there,\u201d he said at the Beverly Wilshire Hotel. \u201cThey\u2019re gonna be just fine, those two. They\u2019re gonna have beautiful kids too, because they\u2019re two beautiful people inside and out. I don\u2019t know her that well, but I just love him, and I hope we have many more years of Josh Allen. MVP, baby.\u201d<\/p>\n

While McDonald is excited to see the Bills win big next season, he\u2019s also pumped to have fans experience Happy Gilmore 2<\/i>. In December 2024, Netflix released the very first sneak peek<\/a> of the sequel.<\/p>\n

Two months later, the streaming service shared a behind-the-scenes clip<\/a> confirming several golfing stars would make appearances in the upcoming sequel.<\/p>\n

\u201cI think there\u2019s a great connection between both films,\u201d McDonald teased. \u201cIt\u2019s a good idea to watch the first one because then you\u2019ll follow the storyline, which is deeper and just funnier than you could imagine. I laughed out loud about 15 times during the read-through. It\u2019s so good, and I hope it holds up and people come in droves here. I think they will.\u201d<\/p>\n
