A man who left an absolutely INDELIBLE mark on both the television and animation worlds has passed away following a long battle with some unspecified illness, according to one of his friends via a Facebook post. Last year was the 30th anniversary of Space Ghost: Coast to Coast.<\/i> I’m….absolutely, utterly<\/i><\/b> heartbroken right now, y’all. We wouldn’t have Adult Swim without that show, or any of the countless media that was inspired by it during its’ 2+ decades on the air. There’s only one remaining (main) cast member left. <\/p>\n
I had the pleasure of meeting him when I volunteered at a friend’s comic convention some years ago and laughed myself nearly into tears once again, listening to him recount the clip of Gilbert Gottfried’s legendary YOU FOOL<\/a> trolling session on Hollywood Squares to some of the other people in the green room. I never knew him personally, but I’ve heard his voice most of my life and have gotten countless laughs out of it. <\/p>\n Go check out SGC2C, if you’ve never had the pleasure. I’m sure a lot of it hasn’t aged well, but overall it’s still an absolute delight. Gas Leak is probably the funniest episode if I had to pick one. <\/p>\n
