Heather McMahan<\/strong><\/a> has a crush on Today<\/em><\/a>\u2019s Willie Geist<\/strong><\/a>, and lucky for her, Willie\u2019s wife, Christina Geist<\/strong>, has no issues with it.<\/p>\n

After revealing on Today With Jenna & Friends<\/em><\/a> that she thought Willie, 49, was \u201chandsome,\u201d McMahan, 37, had a run-in with him in her dressing room while cohosting with Jenna Bush Hager<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u201cYou look so good in blue. I don\u2019t even have my[self and] everything ready,\u201d McMahan told Willie in an Instagram video<\/a> posted Thursday, February 27. \u201cOh, my God. I\u2019m wearing my slippers, stop.\u201d<\/p>\n

Willie teased, \u201cAre we an item?\u201d to which McMahan replied, \u201cYeah, we kinda are.\u201d<\/p>\n

Following Hoda Kotb\u2019s final episode on January 10, Today With Hoda & Jenna relaunched under the new title Today With Jenna & Friends. Bush Hager, 43, will appear alongside a rotating panel of celebrity guest hosts until Kotb\u2019s official replacement is [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Bush Hager, 43, was seated next to her current cohost and couldn\u2019t stop laughing at the adorable exchange. \u201cBy the way, to be clear, I heard from his wife, she\u2019s OK,\u201d Bush Hager said of Christina, claiming she was fine with McMahan\u2019s infatuation with her husband.<\/p>\n

Willie verified Bush Hager\u2019s intel, saying his wife \u201cloves\u201d McMahan. \u201cChristina was, like, on board,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

Bush Hager teased, \u201cShe\u2019s like, \u2018As long as I can go to the Beacon Theatre.\u2019 I\u2019m like, \u2018I got you tickets.\u2019\u201d McMahan added that she\u2019d get Christina \u201cbackstage.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cI was surprised by the lack of resistance I got from my wife,\u201d Willie confessed. \u201cShe was like, \u2018Great, she\u2019s awesome.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n

McMahan, who is married to Jeff Daniels<\/strong>, noted that her spouse was \u201cOK with it too.\u201d She explained, \u201cHe was like, \u2018If anybody, it\u2019s Willie.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n

Today With Jenna & Friends<\/em> posted the video via its official account on Thursday, captioning it, \u201cFancy meeting you here, @williegeist \ud83e\udd2d\ud83d\ude02 @heatherkmcmahan caught up with her work crush this morning before #JennaandFriends.\u201d<\/p>\n

Willie\u2019s wife, whom he married in 2003<\/a>, was quick to comment on the video. \u201cHA! Love you, @heatherkmcmahan!\u201d she replied. \u201cI\u2019m confident our marriages can survive this!\u201d<\/p>\n

Christina, who shares two children with the journalist, joked, \u201cIt\u2019s not the first time I\u2019ve witnessed the WG phenomenon \ud83d\ude18! I get it, girl. Have fun. You\u2019re doing great this week!\u201d<\/p>\n

The playful dressing room encounter came one day after McMahan revealed on national television that she was crushing on Willie. (McMahan was Bush Hager\u2019s cohost all week.)<\/p>\n

\u201cI have such a work crush, Willie Geist,\u201d McMahan said during the Wednesday, February 26, broadcast<\/a> before a photo of the anchor came on screen. \u201cY\u2019all look how handsome. My king.\u201d<\/p>\n

The comedian explained<\/a> that during the Tuesday, February 25, morning meeting she crossed paths with Willie and got flustered.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe just slid in the chair next to us and he\u2019s like, \u2018How are you doing, Heather?\u2019 I melted. I got nervous. I turned red,\u201d McMahan revealed, and Bush Hager confirmed it happened.<\/p>\n

McMahan noted she meant \u201cno disrespect\u201d to Willie\u2019s spouse, calling Christina \u201cfantastic\u201d and a \u201cfan\u201d of her comedy.<\/p>\n
