The Real Housewives of Potomac<\/em><\/a>\u2019s Wendy Osefo<\/strong> is sharing her reaction to costar Karen Huger<\/strong><\/a>\u2019s sentencing.<\/p>\n

\u201cI was definitely shocked, but I\u2019m just keeping her in my prayers because I\u2019m sure it\u2019s a very difficult time for her,\u201d Osefo, 40, exclusively told Us Weekly<\/em> at the 18th annual ESSENCE Black Women in Hollywood Awards in Los Angeles on Thursday, February 27.<\/p>\n

On Wednesday, February 26, Huger, 61, was sentenced to two years in jail<\/a> with one year suspended stemming from a DUI incident in March 2024<\/a>. The self-proclaimed \u201cGrande Dame\u201d of Potomac will face one year in incarceration. She was ordered to report directly to police custody following Wednesday\u2019s sentencing.<\/p>\n

\u201cYou were filled to the gills with alcohol,\u201d the judge told Huger, per Fox 5 DC.<\/p>\n

After being involved in a March 2024 car accident, Huger was charged with a DUI and DWI<\/a>, negligently driving a vehicle in a careless and imprudent manner endangering property, life, and person, as well as recklessly driving a vehicle.<\/p>\n

In December 2024, Huger was found guilty<\/a> on nearly all charges. (She was found not guilty of recklessly driving.)<\/p>\n

\u201cAlthough we are disappointed in the jury\u2019s verdict, we of course respect their decision and appreciate their time hearing our case,\u201d Huger\u2019s attorney, A. Scott Bolden<\/strong>, told People<\/em> in a statement at the time. \u201cWe continue to reserve Mrs. Huger\u2019s right to an appeal and intend to fully pursue justice on her behalf. We appreciate your support and prayers for Mrs. Huger and her family at this time.\u201d<\/p>\n

Also on Thursday, RHOP<\/em> costar Ashley Darby<\/strong>, 36, said she \u201ccried like a baby\u201d<\/a> after learning of Huger\u2019s sentencing.<\/p>\n

\u201cI really do encourage everyone to keep Karen in your prayers,\u201d Darby, 36, shared on the Thursday episode of The Tamron Hall Show<\/em>. \u201cI really care about her and I learned this on the train coming here today.\u201d<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, Gizelle Bryant<\/strong> \u2014 who helped launch the Bravo show with Huger and Darby in 2016 \u2014 said she was \u201cshook\u201d<\/a> to learn her costar would be spending time behind bars.<\/p>\n

\u201cI do not have her wigs. I am concerned,\u201d Bryant, 54, said during her Gizelle 21 Shady Questions Live at City Winery event on Wednesday. \u201cIn all seriousness, I am concerned for her safety. Karen ain\u2019t cut out for jail. I pray that she\u2019s OK and that the Lord is with her.\u201d<\/p>\n
