Michelle Trachtenberg<\/a>, who achieved her breakthrough role in Harriet The Spy<\/strong><\/em> and later established herself in television with the CW\u2019s Gossip Girl<\/em><\/a> and the WB\u2019s Buffy the Vampire Slayer<\/em><\/a>, has died at age 39.<\/p>\n ABC News<\/a> confirmed through law enforcement sources that a family member discovered the actress deceased in her NYC residence on Wednesday morning. Reports indicate she had \u201crecently underwent a liver transplant and may have been experiencing complications.\u201d Additionally, \u201cTrachtenberg is believed to have died of natural causes and no foul play is suspected.\u201d<\/p>\n Following the announcement, several former castmates promptly shared tributes honoring Trachtenberg.
