Love Is Blind<\/em><\/a> star David \u201cDave\u201d Bettenburg<\/strong><\/a> struggled with accepting that fianc\u00e9e Lauren O\u2019Brien<\/strong><\/a> had been in a casual relationship with another man shortly before arriving to film season 8. While neither Dave nor Lauren gave any identifying information about her ex, a man named Daniel Nides<\/strong> claimed to be him via Instagram.<\/p>\n Love Is Blind<\/em> TikToker Storytime With Rikki<\/a> shared screenshots and information from Daniel\u2019s now-private Instagram account, including a poster he created himself that mimicked the Love Is Blind<\/em> promotional images for the cast. In his photo, Daniel is in front of a purple background with the words, \u201cTime to swap leg day for love day,\u201d written above his head. He also wrote that he is 37 years old and a lawyer.<\/p>\n Rikki explained that Lauren, 31, and Dave, 33, had some mutual friends and Daniel actually \u201cknows\u201d Dave or \u201cknows of him at the very least.\u201d She claimed that Daniel had sent one of their friends a DM.<\/p>\n \u201cApparently, [Daniel] texted one of [Lauren and Dave\u2019s] mutual friends and was like, \u2018Let\u2019s blow up this wedding,\u2019 and wanted the friend group to tell Dave about him [sic] and Lauren\u2019s relationship, so that he could be part of the plot,\u201d Rikki alleged in a TikTok video posted on Sunday, February 23.<\/p>\n Rikki also claimed that Daniel had been \u201cplotting before the season even aired\u201d after she viewed a video where he implied that he was going to be interviewed regarding the Love Is Blind<\/em> drama. He also allegedly posted a video where he had superimposed his face over that of Bill Clinton\u2019s<\/strong> famous interview where the former president said the infamous line, \u201cI did not have sexual relations with that woman.\u201d A third photo allegedly shared to his Instagram Story was a photo of Daniel with the words, \u201cNetflix can have what\u2019s left of me.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cI\u2019m not sure what his story is, considering Lauren was very forthcoming about their relationship on the show. She literally said, \u2018We were casually dating, and we were hooking up. It was nothing serious, and it was nothing that was going to keep me from going on the show and finding my husband,\u201d Rikki said.<\/p>\n The content creator also alleged that Daniel posted a screenshot of a message he claimed to have been from the Love Is Blind<\/em> production company that read, \u201cHey Daniel, I\u2019m with the production company filming for the Netflix Series Love is Blind<\/em> in Minneapolis. I think you have a past romantic connection to a cast member. Do you want to connect over the phone or in person this week? We would love to hear your story.\u201d<\/p>\n Life & Style<\/em> reached out to Daniel about the situation, but he refrained from commenting.<\/p>\n During episodes 7 through 9 of Love Is Blind<\/em> season 8, Lauren and Dave discussed her past relationship extensively<\/a>, and Dave felt like it was \u201cweird\u201d that he knew of two people that she had previously been in relationships with. After the episodes aired, Lauren spoke with Vulture<\/em> and admitted that she felt a \u201cshift\u201d in Dave\u2019s attitude<\/a> after they returned to Minneapolis and were given back their phones.
