The cast of Buffy the Vampire Slayer<\/i><\/a> is paying tribute to their costar and friend Michelle Trachtenberg<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n

After news broke on Wednesday, February 26, that the actress was found unconscious<\/a> inside her New York City apartment at the age of 39, many colleagues were quick to share their favorite memories working alongside Trachtenberg.<\/p>\n

\u201cMy heart is heavy today. We have lost a beautiful soul,\u201d James Marsters<\/strong>, who played Spike, wrote via Instagram<\/a>. \u201cMichelle was fiercely intelligent, howlingly funny and a very talented person. She died much too young, and leaves behind scores of people who knew and loved her. \u2026 Godspeed Michelle. You are missed.\u201d<\/p>\n

Between 2000 and 2003, Trachtenberg had the opportunity to play Dawn Summers \u2014 Buffy\u2019s sister \u2014 on the hit series. Once the show wrapped, the actress went on to star in various projects, including Gossip Girl<\/i><\/a> and Six Feet Under<\/i>.<\/p>\n
