\t\t<\/p>\n Karen Huger<\/strong><\/a> has been sentenced in her DUI trial.<\/p>\n The 61-year-old The Real Housewives of Potomac<\/em> star has been sentenced to one year in jail, according to Fox 5 DC<\/a>.<\/p>\n She was facing two years behind bars after being found guilty.<\/p>\n She appeared in court with her husband, Ray<\/strong>, on Wednesday (February 26).<\/p>\n Prior to the sentencing, she addressed the arrest in a pre-taped video that aired during the RHOP<\/em> reunion.<\/p>\n Keep reading to find out more\u2026<\/em><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n \u201cNo, I\u2019m not an alcoholic, let\u2019s be clear,\u201d she said. <\/p>\n \u201cThis is very frightening but I accept full responsibility for everything that went on with my car accident. I don\u2019t care about me right now. I care about my children, I care about my family. They are so hurt.\u201d<\/p>\n She later checked in treatment to center to \u201cget to the bottom\u201d of \u201ctaking antidepressants and drinking.\u201d <\/p>\n During the sentencing, Karen<\/strong>\u2018s attorney said the \u201coveruse of prescription medicine is what caused the accident.\u201d<\/p>\n Karen<\/strong> was involved in the car accident in March of 2024, and then charged with DUI and DWI, negligently driving a vehicle in a careless and imprudent manner endangering property, life, and person, as well as recklessly driving a vehicle.<\/p>\n She was found guilty on nearly all charges at the end of 2024.
