Jason Isaacs<\/strong> has a \u201cterrible confession\u201d about the Harry Potter<\/em> movies<\/a>.<\/p>\n

While audiences worldwide were dazzled by the magic of the franchise, the Lucius Malfoy actor, 61, revealed that the movies weren\u2019t as fascinating to make.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s a terrible confession to make, they weren\u2019t that much fun to make. It\u2019s quite boring, making big special effects films,\u201d Isaacs said on the Monday, February 24, episode of the BBC\u2019s The One Show<\/em><\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe pleasures all come afterwards,\u201d Isaacs continued. \u201cI see and meet people for whom their lives were changed by it, and still people reading it and sharing it with their children. Some people say their lives were saved by it and I believe it.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\t\t\tOnce a Hogwarts student, always a Hogwarts student \u2014 and the Harry Potter cast\u2019s frequent reunions prove that. In 2001, Harry Potter and the Sorcerer\u2019s Stone hit theaters, introducing the world to Daniel Radcliffe, Rupert Grint and Emma Watson, who played the three lead characters from J.K. Rowling\u2018s novels: Harry Potter, Ron Weasley and Hermione [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Isaacs played Draco Malfoy\u2019s cunning father in six of the eight Harry Potter<\/em> movies<\/a> released between 2001 and 2011 starring Daniel Radcliffe<\/strong>, Emma Watson<\/strong> and Rupert Grint<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

According to Isaacs, while there were a lot of special effects involved in creating the magic of Harry Potter<\/em>, seeing the grand sets of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry in person remains a joy.<\/p>\n

\u201cEven though I was in the films, when I\u2019ve taken godchildren or nephews and nieces to the tour and the thing comes up and suddenly, you\u2019re in the Great Hall, every time, I burst out in tears,\u201d Isaacs said. \u201cIt\u2019s incredibly moving and overwhelming. There\u2019s some magic that happened in those stories.\u201d<\/p>\n

The British actor is currently starring in The White Lotus<\/em> season 3<\/a>, which is set at a fictional hotel resort in Thailand and was filmed in the Southeast Asian country.<\/p>\n

Isaacs revealed last month that filming sex scenes in the heat<\/a> was also not that much fun.<\/p>\n

The HBO series, which debuted in 2021, focuses on the guests and employees at a fictional resort as they experience a slew of personal ups and downs while on vacation. The anthology series is also known for a mysterious death [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cWe\u2019re doing intimate scenes, and you stink,\u201d Isaacs said of the conditions on set for the anthology series in an interview with Time<\/em> published on January 24. \u201cBy the end of each day, we\u2019re just caked in sweat and makeup. You can peel your clothes off with a trowel. It melts your fillings.\u201d<\/p>\n

Isaacs wasn\u2019t the only person on set to notice the conditions. Michelle Monaghan<\/strong> noted that the rising heat in Thailand was unlike anything she ever experienced before.<\/p>\n
