Amy Gleason has been named as the acting administrator of DOGE, the ostensible head of the Trump administration team of Elon Musk advisors and associates<\/a> known as the Department of Government Efficiency, TechCrunch has confirmed.<\/p>\n The news, first reported<\/a> by Semafor, is the first time the White House has confirmed who is overseeing the team of government cost-cutters. The White House previously said Musk was not officially leading DOGE<\/a>, leaving the role of the team\u2019s administrator ambiguous. Musk is a White House employee and a senior advisor to the president<\/a>.<\/p>\n The White House confirmed to TechCrunch that Gleason is DOGE\u2019s acting administrator.
