Barstool Sports founder Dave Portnoy<\/strong><\/a> wasted no time weighing in on the drama between Alex Cooper<\/strong><\/a> and Alix Earle<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n

After Variety<\/em> reported on Tuesday, February 25, that Cooper\u2019s Unwell Network had officially dropped<\/a> Earle\u2019s \u201cHot Mess\u201d podcast from its roster, Portnoy, 47, took to social media to reveal he and Earle, 24, had a 22-minute phone conversation.<\/p>\n

Portnoy shared a screenshot via both his Instagram Stories and Instagram grid<\/a> of an outgoing call to \u201cAlixearlenew\u201d which took place at 4:47 p.m. that day.<\/p>\n

The Barstool Sports founder, who was Cooper\u2019s boss while she was employed by the company and helped Cooper launch her \u201cCall Her Daddy\u201d podcast in 2018 before it moved on to Spotify and later Sirius XM, captioned the Instagram grid post, \u201cYou can stop tagging me. I know what needs to be done \ud83d\ude18.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\t\t\tAlix Earle\u2019s \u201cHot Mess\u201d podcast has been dropped by Alex Cooper\u2019s Unwell Network, Us Weekly can confirm. Variety broke the news on Tuesday, February 25, that SiriusXM will no longer sell ads for \u201cHot Mess\u201d and that the Unwell Network has renounced rights to the podcast. The news comes amid social media speculation of a [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

In Portnoy\u2019s two posts, the businessman was seen sipping from a can and wagging his finger into the camera as The Lion King<\/em>\u2019s \u201cCircle of Life\u201d by Furnace and the Fundamentals played in the background. He also pulled several faces and furrowed his brow at times, sparking a stream of speculation in the grid post\u2019s comments section.<\/p>\n

Us Weekly<\/em> has reached out to a representative for Portnoy for further comment.<\/p>\n

While Portnoy did not confirm what he and Earle discussed during their conversation, fans took to the comments section to weigh in with their theories.<\/p>\n

\u201cI think it\u2019s that her [Earle\u2019s] podcast was stopped and barstool is trying to recruit her,\u201d one fan wrote, while another suggested, \u201cGrace<\/strong> [O\u2019Malley<\/strong>] left Barstool and joined Alex Cooper\u2019s unwell network. Now Alix Earle supposedly has left the Unwell network and now Dave is trying to get her to come to barstool.\u201d (O\u2019Malley previously worked at Barstool alongside Brianna Chickenfry<\/strong> before departing the company in December 2024 and joining Cooper\u2019s Unwell Network to launch her podcast, \u201cDisgraceful,\u201d on Thursday, February 20.)<\/p>\n
