If your World of Hyatt<\/a> balance is a little low \u2014 and you don’t have enough Bilt Rewards<\/a> Points or Chase Ultimate Rewards<\/a> points to transfer \u2014 you may want to buy points with Hyatt’s latest promotion. Through April 14, you can get a 25% discount when you purchase 5,000 or more Hyatt points.<\/p>\n

And yes, Hyatt did just announce its 2025 category changes<\/a>, which are set to take effect March 25. However, that actually may give you a reason to purchase points now if you’re planning a stay at one of the 118 properties increasing in price.<\/p>\n

Hyatt usually sells points for 2.6 cents apiece. However, with the 25% discount, you can get them at a rate of 1.95 cents each.<\/p>\n

TPG values<\/a> Hyatt points at 1.7 cents each as of February 2025, so this price is still a little higher than our valuation. But sometimes you can get much more value from your Hyatt points, so it could be worth buying the extra points you need during this promotion.<\/p>\n
