<\/p>\n Jeopardy!<\/em> <\/strong><\/a>contestant Roger Craig<\/strong> has the show to thank for his marriage to former champion Julia Collins<\/strong>.<\/p>\n Craig told host Ken Jennings<\/strong> on the Friday, February 21, episode of Jeopardy!<\/em> that the show was responsible for the pair\u2019s happiness.<\/p>\n \u201cAt the All-Star Games, I reconnected with Julia Collins,\u201d he said. \u201cI first met her in New York about 10 years ago, and we\u2019re married now.\u201d<\/p>\n Jennings was ecstatic. \u201cWow, Jeopardy<\/em> power couple! Congratulations!\u201d he exclaimed.<\/p>\n Craig also said the relationship is \u201cthe best thing that\u2019s ever happened to me.\u201d<\/p>\n When asked why Collins wasn\u2019t at the invitational tournament as well, Craig explained she wasn\u2019t able to attend and go against him \u2014 yet. \u201cWe would love to,\u201d he continued. \u201cShe would love to have been here, but the logistics just didn\u2019t work out. So hopefully next time.\u201d<\/p>\n Craig first appeared on the show in 2010. He set a single-day record of $77,000 on the second day of his running, besting Jenning\u2019s own single-day record of $75,000. After seven days on the show he lost to Jelisa Castrodale, but ultimately earned $231,200.<\/p>\n Collins made her debut on Jeopardy!<\/em> in 2014 and won over $400,000 during a 20-day run from April 21 to May 30 that year.<\/p>\n The headlines are definitely happier news for Jeopardy!<\/em>. In November 2024, the show came under fire after contestant Heather Ryan answered a sexist clue<\/a>. Ryan appeared on the October 28, 2024, episode of the show and was confronted with a clue in the \u201cComplete the Rhyming Phrase\u2026\u201d category that read, \u201cMen seldom make passes\u2026\u201d<\/p>\n Ryan completed the sentence, answering with \u201cgirls who wear glasses.\u201d<\/p>\n
