On the Monday morning after, I scroll through IG to see what punny names others used for their menu. (One year I saw a Joaquinoa Phoenix & Corn Salad. Genius.) That\u2019s the thing: An Oscars watch party has a built-in theme that can do a lot of work for you, as long as you\u2019re familiar with the nominees. Here\u2019s what I\u2019ll be serving up next weekend\u2014I\u2019d love to hear your ideas, too!<\/p>\n Wicked<\/em>\u2019s ten noms call for this community member\u2019s Wicked Witch Black Olive Martini<\/a>, which is basically a vodka martini, which means I\u2019ll only need one before I feel like I\u2019m defying gravity, too.<\/p>\n Nea from our Test Kitchen came up with The Substance<\/em>-inspired green Jell-O<\/a>. To avoid college flashbacks, serve yours in grown-up shot glasses, or even cut into neat squares.<\/p>\n Next up? A Timoth\u00e9e Chala-milkshake, named after the A Great Unknown<\/em> nominee. I\u2019m blending up this banana and cardamom one<\/a> that can easily be doubled (or tripled) for your crew.<\/p>\n Something about the sharp angles and powdered sugar on this donut cake<\/a> gives me The Brutalist<\/em> vibes. The squares are good for a crowd, and also for stacking, you architect, you.<\/p>\n Popcorn, or excuse me, pope-corn\u2014inspired by Conclave<\/em>, of course\u2014is 90 percent of the reason I even go to the movies. At home, I drench mine in butter and salt, sprinkle on some hot sauce, then serve it up in a massive bowl<\/a> to pass around.<\/p>\n
