Hilaria Baldwin<\/a> is addressing the controversy surrounding claims that her Spanish accent is fabricated.<\/p>\n

The yoga instructor from Boston\u2014who is mother to Carmen<\/strong>, 11, Rafael<\/strong>, 9, Leonardo<\/strong>, 8, Romeo<\/strong>, 6, Eduardo <\/strong>and Marilu<\/strong>, both 4 and Ilaria<\/strong>, 2, with spouse Alec Baldwin<\/a>\u2014tackles the questions about her cultural background, and accent in the first episode of her family\u2019s new TLC reality series The Baldwins<\/strong><\/em>.<\/p>\n

\u201cI love English, I also love Spanish, and when I mix the two it doesn\u2019t make me inauthentic, and when I mix the two, that makes me normal,\u201d Hilaria says during the Feb. 23 episode, per People<\/em><\/a>. \u201cI\u2019d be lying if I said [the controversy] didn\u2019t make me sad and it didn\u2019t hurt and it didn\u2019t put me in dark places.\u201d<\/p>\n
