Jenn Tran<\/b><\/a> shared her reaction to <\/span>The Bachelorette<\/span><\/i><\/a> taking a break before season 22, admitting she was caught off guard by the decision.<\/p>\n \u201cIt was a surprise to me,\u201d Jenn, 27, told People<\/em><\/a> in an interview published on Wednesday, February 19. \u201cThe franchise has been going on for so long. Sometimes you hear things like why [shows go on pause]. I have no idea why and what\u2019s going on there. I really have no idea.\u201d<\/p>\n Jenn \u2013 who served as the lead for season 21 \u2013 went on to share a theory on why ABC might have chosen to pause on the show<\/a>. \u201cThe Bachelorette<\/em> does usually air in the summer when people are traveling \u2014 I heard that it doesn\u2019t do as well as The Bachelor<\/em>, which airs in the fall, where people are home and ready to watch TV,\u201d she said. \u201cSo maybe it\u2019ll give a chance for the next Bachelorette to air at a time where there\u2019s more visibility. That would be nice.\u201d<\/p>\n Earlier in February, Deadline<\/em><\/a> reported that the franchise was \u201cpausing\u201d production for The Bachelorette<\/em> and season 22 will not air in its normal summer time slot. On February 10, host Jesse Palmer<\/strong> shared an update about the decision and assured fans that there will be a season 22 of The Bachelorette<\/em>.<\/p>\n \u201cThe good news is I know it\u2019s not going away. I know it\u2019s definitely coming back,\u201d he said while appearing on the \u201cPlaying the Field\u201d podcast<\/a>. \u201cWithout being able to get into too much of the creative decisions on it, I know that when it does [return], I just think it\u2019s going to be absolutely tremendous.\u201d<\/p>\n After noting that it is \u201cnot unprecedented for The Bachelorette<\/em> not to air in the summer,\u201d Jesse, 46, insisted that \u201cBachelor Nation will be really excited\u201d once the show does officially come back.<\/p>\n Despite normally airing in the summer, season 16 of The Bachelorette<\/em> aired in October 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Meanwhile, season 18 also premiered in October 2021.<\/p>\n During Jenn\u2019s season, fans watched her get engaged to Devin Strader<\/strong>. However, their romance wasn\u2019t meant to be and they confirmed their split<\/a> in September 2024 during the After the Final Rose segment.<\/p>\n \u201cAs soon as we had left Hawaii, things were just different<\/a>,\u201d she explained of her and Devin\u2019s relationship. \u201cIt kind of just felt like he was pulling away all the promises that he had made to me \u2014 wanting to move somewhere together, and wanting to have this future planned out, and wanting to see each other all the time.\u201d<\/p>\n Jenn said she became \u201cconfused\u201d when Devin, 28, stopped responding to her messages, and he later blindsided her with a phone call.<\/p>\n \u201cHe called me, and he basically broke off the engagement,\u201d she said. \u201c[He said] he didn\u2019t love me anymore, feel the same way and felt like something had been off since the second thing he proposed. He regretted getting engaged.\u201d<\/p>\n While things didn\u2019t work out between Jenn and Devin, she has since found love with her <\/span>Dancing With the Stars <\/span><\/i>partner<\/span><\/a>, <\/span>Sasha Farber<\/b>. \u201cWe are taking life one day at a time and we\u2019re not in any rush to define anything or put anything out there,\u201d she told <\/span>People<\/span><\/i><\/a> about her relationship with Sasha, 40. \u201cWe are just having fun and enjoying the moment that we\u2019re in.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n
