\t\t<\/p>\n Matthew Lawrence<\/strong><\/a> looked back on his experience collaborating with Gabrielle Union<\/strong><\/a> in the \u201990s. <\/p>\n The 45-year-old Boy Meets World<\/em> alum worked with the 52-year-old actor on H-E Double Hockey Sticks<\/em>, a TV movie that premiere in 1999. <\/p>\n While on the Magical Rewind<\/em> podcast, Matthew<\/strong> noted that Gabrielle<\/strong>\u2018s star power was obvious from the very beginning. However, he said that he ran into one issue with her on set.<\/p>\n Keep reading to find out more\u2026<\/em><\/strong><\/span> <\/p>\n \u201cThere was this one moment where \u2014 and, again, I\u2019m oblivious, I had no idea \u2014 and she wanted to rehearse,\u201d he said, via Entertainment Weekly<\/a>. \u201cAnd I was like, \u2018No, I\u2019m good.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n After he turned her down, the actor recalled that \u201cshe got angry and went and reported me to the director and the studio.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cThe only time in my entire career, because usually I\u2019m, like, the advocate, and I\u2019m fighting for kids and, like, you know, women\u2019s rights. This is the only time in my life when I was called into the office for something I did on set. And I had no clue,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n Matthew<\/strong> explained that he wasn\u2019t doing it to make Gabrielle<\/strong> angry. He just had a different process.<\/p>\n \u201cAt that point, in my mind \u2014 now I can do whatever, and nothing\u2019s gonna faze me \u2014 [but] at that point in my mind, I really loved memorizing the lines, knowing all the beats,\u201d he told the hosts, \u201cbut hated running it, cause it felt like it took all the freshness out of it.\u201d<\/p>\n A few years ago, Matthew<\/strong> opened up about his experience with the #MeToo movement<\/a>.<\/p>\n <\/span><\/p><\/div>\n
