Meghan Trainor<\/strong><\/a> has apologized for her \u201ccareless\u201d comments<\/a> about teachers and her intentions to homeschool her children as a result.<\/p>\n \u201cTeachers of TikTok and teachers of the world<\/a>, I recently said \u2018F teachers\u2019 on the podcast and it\u2019s not how I feel,\u201d the pregnant \u201cMother\u201d songstress, 29, said in a candid Sunday, April 23, TikTok<\/a> video. \u201cI was fired up because we were talking about how sending your kid to school here in America is so horrific.\u201d<\/p>\n Trainor \u2014 who shares son Riley, 2,<\/a> with husband Daryl Sabara<\/strong><\/a> \u2014 and her brother Ryan Trainor<\/strong> had welcomed influencer Trisha Paytas<\/strong> <\/a>to their joint \u201cWorkin\u2019 On It\u201d podcast to chat about parenthood. Paytas, for her part, welcomed daughter Malibu<\/a> with\u00a0husband Moses Hacmon<\/a>\u00a0<\/strong>in September 2022.<\/p>\n \u201cWe\u2019re homeschooling our kids,\u201d the \u201cAll About that Bass\u201d singer quipped during the Wednesday, April 19, episode<\/a>. \u201cEveryone on TikTok is like, \u2018This is what it\u2019s like having kids in America<\/a>. I have a bulletproof backpack.\u2019 I was like, f\u2014k all that.\u201d<\/p>\n Meghan was referring to the epidemic of mass shootings<\/a>, with one of the recent tragedies <\/b>occurring last month at Nashville\u2019s The Covenant School, in which a 28-year-old woman opened fire in the primary school<\/a> and killed three teachers and three students. Authorities later shot and killed the perpetrator on the scene.<\/p>\n Paytas, 34, agreed with the former\u00a0Voice U.K.<\/a>\u00a0<\/i>judge\u2019s remarks, adding that she also worried about potential bullies<\/a> and teachers. \u201cF\u2014k teachers, dude,\u201d Meghan interrupted.<\/p>\n The Grammy winner has since claimed that both she and the\u00a0Spy Kids\u00a0<\/i>star, 30, had been bullied<\/a> by their former educators and that hearing Paytas\u2019 own story made her feel angry.<\/p>\n \u201cI did not mean [to say that about] all teachers,\u201d Meghan said on Sunday. \u201cI love teachers, I fight for teachers. I think they have the hardest job<\/a> and they are the most underpaid. They are the most unappreciated when they literally raise all of us. I don\u2019t want to make excuses, I just want to [say] I am so sorry.\u201d<\/p>\n She continued: \u201cI am so sorry to any teachers I made feel bad and I will remind myself that my words definitely could have a consequence and I will be more careful.\u201d<\/p>\n The\u00a0Dear Future Mama\u00a0<\/i>author also thanked TikTok<\/a> user @GalsGotMoxie for raising awareness about her unkind comments.<\/p>\n \u201cI am sorry for being careless with my words.
