Host Phil Keoghan<\/strong><\/a> is promising that The Amazing Race<\/em><\/a> will be \u201cback in full force\u201d with season 37 \u2014 and will include a surprise in every episode.<\/p>\n

\u201cAmazing Race<\/em> is always a season of surprises because literally every time they read a clue, they never know what is happening, where they\u2019re going, what they\u2019re doing. But this season we decided that we would make the surprises, maybe a little more jaw-dropping than before,\u201d Keoghan, 57, exclusively told Us Weekly<\/em> ahead of the competition series\u2019 March 5 premiere. \u201cLike every single episode has something unique and different about it.\u201d<\/p>\n

In Us<\/em>\u2019 exclusive first look at season 37, Keoghan delivered the same promise to the 14 teams<\/a> ready to take on the race around the world.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis season there are more surprises than ever before,\u201d Keoghan said in the clip.<\/p>\n

The longtime host teased to Us that some \u201cfavorite elements\u201d of the show would return, like the iconic UTurn and Fast Forward. While gearing up for season 37, Keoghan told Us<\/em> he did a \u201cdeep dive\u201d after the previous season to see what the fans love the most about the Amazing Race<\/em>.<\/p>\n

\u201cI think it\u2019s important to sort of stay connected with the audience and know that they love self-driving,\u201d he said. \u201cThey love the chaos of travel<\/a>. They love when the teams are having to make strategic decisions. So we\u2019re constantly trying to address what it is the fans want and something must be working. Because here we are 37 seasons in.\u201d<\/p>\n

In addition to listening to viewer feedback, The Amazing Race<\/em> is also bringing some new twists like the Fork in the Road.<\/p>\n

\u201c[The Fork in the Road twist] is literally something we\u2019ve never done before, where the teams can go in either direction and they have to make a really strategic choice of running two different parallel races,\u201d Keoghan explained. \u201c[It\u2019s different from a detour where it\u2019s just a single challenge, but more of, of literally getting to a fork in the road and choosing to go one way or the other. And then there\u2019s limited options depending on when you get there.\u201d<\/p>\n

Keoghan teased that \u201cthere\u2019s a lot of strategy involved\u201d with the racers as they decided which path they took to the pit stop.<\/p>\n

While the contestants are hit with The Fork in the Road surprise during the season premiere, Keoghan shared that wasn\u2019t the only twist thrown the competitor\u2019s way \u2014 and that his personal favorite will pop up later in the series.<\/p>\n
