Mauricio Umansky was involved in a skiing accident<\/p>\n
The 54-year-old reality star was involved in a skiing accident in Aspen, Colorado on Friday (14.02.25) and he has now successfully undergone surgery to repair a broken clavicle, so is looking forward to making a “speedy recovery”.<\/p>\n
Thanking fans for their kind messages since he revealed he’d been in an accident, Mauricio wrote on Instagram: “Thank you to everyone who has reached out. I have felt so much love and support. <\/p>\n
“I had surgery on my clavicle. It was a clean break but required a metal plate and 12 screws. I expect a speedy recovery. <\/p>\n
“The Doctors and Nurses at Aspen Valley Hospital are the best.(sic)”<\/p>\n
\nThe former ‘Buying Beverly Hills’ star admitted things would have been much worse if he hadn’t been wearing a protective helmet.<\/p>\n
\nHe added: “I was wearing a helmet and that for sure saved me.”<\/p>\n
\nMauricio – who has daughters Alexia, 28, Sophia, 25, and Portia, 17, with estranged wife Kyle Richards – had revealed he had been involved in an accident on Friday.<\/p>\n
\nHe shared a video of himself being taken down a mountain by ski patrol staff and then added a photo of himself lying in a hospital bed.<\/p>\n
\nHe wrote: \u201cI feel so blessed to be taken care of by such amazing humans. Ski patrol, paramedics, Aspen Hospital, you\u2019re all the best.<\/p>\n
\n\u201cLet\u2019s get this surgery done so I can heal. Play hard sometimes you get hurt. But the care here has been incredible.\u201d<\/p>\n
\nMauricio and Kyle split in 2023 after almost 20 years of marriage and he moved out of their family home last year, but just before Christmas, she explained that they could “reconvene” at some point in the coming months to discuss things.<\/p>\n
\nSpeaking in a confessional during a new episode of ‘The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills’, she said: “Mau made the decision to sign a six-month lease. I think for Mau saying to give it six months made it easy to transition from living here to going to a new place. It also gives us the time to assess where we\u2019re at.<\/p>\n
\n“You live your life, I live my life, and maybe we\u2019ll reconvene in six months or so and see what happens. I don\u2019t know.”<\/p>\n
\nKyle who also has Farrah, 36, with first husband Guraish Aldjufrie – previously admitted that their separation has been more of a “psychological thing” for them than anything else, so they aren\u2019t quite ready to start legal proceedings.<\/p>\n
\nShe told E! News: “We just haven’t felt the rush to do that. I think it’s been more of a psychological thing for us and for our family. We’ve been getting along and there was no pressure from either side that we needed to do that.”<\/p>\n
