Trump\u2019s post drew quick criticism from Democrats, who argued it was another instance of the president likening his executive authority to authoritarianism.<\/p>\n

Vice President JD Vance<\/strong> has launched a scalding attack on European democracies, saying the greatest threat facing the continent was not from Russia<\/strong> and China<\/strong>, but \u201cfrom within\u201d. It had been expected that Vance would use his speech at the Munich Security Conference to address possible talks to end the war in Ukraine<\/strong>. His speech was met by silence. Elon Musk<\/strong>\u2019s team at the so-called Department of Government Efficiency<\/strong> has posted classified information about the size and staff of a U.S. intelligence agency on its new website, raising bigger concerns about where Musk\u2019s programmers got this information and what they are doing with it. Pam Bondi<\/strong>, Trump\u2019s attorney general, has already done something that in any other administration would have already gotten her fired. [New Republic<\/a>]<\/p>\n

Linda McMahon<\/strong> vows to \u201creturn education to the states\u201d at confirmation hearing. [NBC News<\/a>]<\/p>\n

President Donald Trump<\/strong>\u2018s transgender policy began with a Day One executive order delegitimizing gender identity. Now it has encroached on a conspicuous place, removing the word \u201ctransgender\u201d from the U.S. National Park Service website for the Stonewall National Monument<\/strong>. It looks as if the Trump<\/strong> regime wants us all to die. According to two agency employees who requested anonymity because they weren\u2019t authorized to speak for the agency, the administration is slashing about 1,300 employees, or 10%, of the workforce at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention<\/strong>. Staff were notified Friday of the cuts. [NPR<\/a>]<\/p>\n

Some federal employees who have been laid off under the Trump administration\u2019s unprecedented plan to slash the federal workforce were reportedly given only 30 minutes to pack their belongings and vacate federal offices. Donald Trump<\/strong> ordered federal agencies to fire mostly probationary staff, with as many as 200,000 workers set to be affected and some made to rush off the premises. RFK Jr.<\/strong>, the newly appointed head of Health and Human Services<\/strong> (help us all), is coming after your depression, anxiety, and mood disorder drugs. [Mother Jones<\/a>]<\/p>\n

What does RFK Jr.<\/strong> want for the people who he thinks are addicted to antidepressants? He wants opioid, antidepressant, and ADHD \u201caddicts\u201d receiving treatment on tech-free \u201cwellness farms,\u201d where they would spend as much as three or four years growing organic produce. [Mother Jones<\/a>]<\/p>\n

The Trump administration<\/strong> will request that the U.S. Supreme Court<\/strong> overturn a lower court ruling that ordered a government ethics watchdog to be reinstated after the president dismissed him. Hampton Dellinger<\/strong>, the head of the whistleblower protection agency known as the Office of Special Counsel, filed a lawsuit against the Trump administration after his firing this month.
