Before the first chords were struck at SNL50: The Homecoming Concert<\/em>, Radio City Music Hall was abuzz with a feeling of fraternity. A recently tattoo-less Pete Davidson<\/strong><\/a> was all smiles in the lobby, as Jon Hamm<\/strong><\/a> caught up with Paul Rudd<\/a>. Claire Danes<\/strong> and her husband<\/a> Hugh Dancy<\/strong> made their way to their seats, past Alec Baldwin<\/strong> and Liev Schreiber<\/strong> trying to order a drink at the bar after it closed. In the theater, more A-list stars like Tom Hanks<\/strong>, Emma Stone,<\/strong> Meryl Streep<\/strong> and former SNL<\/em> favorites like Tina Fey<\/strong>, Amy Poehler,<\/strong> and Kristin Wiig<\/strong>, took their seats to celebrate 50 years of musical moments from comedy\u2019s longest running institution, brought to you by Lorne Michaels<\/strong>.<\/p>\n Like many star-studded events, The Homecoming Concert<\/em> was a bit of a tough room, at least at first. \u201cEverybody here is famous,\u201d remarked Michael Che<\/strong>, warming up the crowd before the show began. \u201cCan you tell I am in hell?\u201d Che\u2019s torment wouldn\u2019t last long as the night\u2019s real emcee, Jimmy Fallon,<\/strong> would soon come out and open the show with a goofy yet endearing performance of \u201cSoul Man\u201d backed by his Tonight Show<\/em> band, The Roots, and approximately twenty-five Blues Brothers<\/em> dancers.<\/p>\n
