The Golden Bachelor<\/a> <\/i>alum April Kirkwood<\/strong> is peeling back the layers on the alleged feud between her fellow \u201cASKN\u201d members.<\/p>\n

\u201cI feel like they were upset. I don\u2019t know who was doing it,\u201d April, 67, claimed on the Thursday, February 13, episode of the \u201cShe\u2019s All Bach\u201d podcast<\/a>. \u201cI know [the social media messages] came from Texas, and I only know so many people who live in Texas.\u201d<\/p>\n

April revealed via Instagram in January 2024 that she was unable to make<\/a> the foursome\u2019s trip \u2014 ASKN also included Susan Noles, Kathy Swarts <\/strong>and Nancy Hulkower<\/strong> \u2014 to St. Martin because of work and family obligations. She then allegedly received a handful of messages asking \u201cwhy [she] was doing this\u201d to the group.<\/p>\n

\u201cI think giving them the benefit of the doubt now and stepping back, they took it personally that I rejected them,\u201d she said on Thursday. \u201cI did reject that, but I had a lot going on at the time, as well. I had some house issues, I had a job and they were already fed up with me from being gone so much. And then, it was a money issue [regarding the cost of the vacation].\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\t\t\tDisney\/Eric McCandless Golden Bachelor alum Kathy Swarts is dodging questions about the apparent ASKN fallout, hinting that \u201cnatural selection\u201d took hold of their friend group. \u201cWe were a group of fearless women who took this on, and the fact remains \u2014 we\u2019re all women,\u201d Kathy, 70, said during the Thursday, February 8, episode of the [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

April added, \u201cI had to just make a value statement and it just didn\u2019t feel right for me. I\u2019m really not a heavy drinker [or] a heavy partier like on some of the shows.\u201d<\/p>\n

April connected with Susan, 67, Kathy, 71, and Nancy, 62, when they all appeared<\/a> on Gerry Turner<\/strong>\u2019s season of The Golden Bachelor<\/i> in 2023. The quartet later reunited on Joey Graziadei<\/strong>\u2019s season of The Bachelor <\/i>to host a group date ahead of their would-be Caribbean trip.<\/p>\n

\u201cI think it got to be obvious that there was me backing out and I think it hurt their feelings,\u201d April said. \u201cI would like to publicly apologize because it wasn\u2019t personal and I was just salvaging my identity.\u201d<\/p>\n

She continued, \u201cI\u2019ve spent my whole life \u2026 trying to be authentic \u2014 and sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn\u2019t. Sometimes it helps me and sometimes it hurts me. I\u2019m not advising that for everybody.\u201d<\/p>\n

While promoting their podcast, \u201cBachelor Happy Hour: Golden Hour,\u201d the Golden Bachelor alums told Us Weekly that they are interested in pursuing Golden Bachelorette Joan Vassos\u2019 castoffs after she finds The One. [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

While the remaining members of ASKN have not publicly responded to April\u2019s claims, she did reportedly reach out directly before posting on social media.<\/p>\n
