Love Is Blind<\/em><\/a> season 8 returned on Valentine\u2019s Day in 2025, and this time, fans watched 32 single men and women<\/a> enter the pods hoping for a chance to find love and form connections not based on physical attraction. Only five couples left the pods engaged this season, including David Bettenburg<\/strong> and Lauren O\u2019Brien<\/strong>. David had developed connections with both her and Molly, and Molly seemed sure that she and David would end up together. When she spoke about her time with David, Molly was unaware that Lauren was David\u2019s other choice, which sent Lauren spiraling. However, things changed when Lauren confronted the medical device salesman about his relationship with Molly.<\/p>\n \u201cI feel so confidently about you and about this, but I spent the last day being like, \u2018The way he talks to me is either he\u2019s really good at talking a big game here to two different people, or she\u2019s interpreting things differently,\u2019\u201d Lauren said during episode 5.<\/p>\n David admitted that his feelings for Molly were \u201cconfusing\u201d for him because they were so \u201csimilar,\u201d but said that they hadn\u2019t had \u201csuper deep conversations.\u201d However, he explained that \u201cnot knowing\u201d if Lauren was still \u201cseeing other guys\u201d was something that had \u201cheld him back\u201d from pursuing a relationship with Lauren more aggressively.<\/p>\n During a following date with Molly, she asked David if he thought he had more of an \u201cemotional connection\u201d with Lauren, and he confessed that he did. His answer solidified his decision to choose Lauren and he and Molly ended things.<\/p>\n While the midseason trailer showed David and Lauren enjoying their time oceanside after the pods, their return to the real world doesn\u2019t seem so smooth. One of David\u2019s biggest worries about getting engaged during Love Is Blind<\/em> was that his sister didn\u2019t approve. Lauren was anxious to meet her but one scene showed the educational saleswoman in tears about the situation.<\/p>\n \u201cWhere are you at with your sister?\u201d Lauren asked Dave through tears. \u201cI\u2019m, like, so helpless in this.\u201d<\/p>\n In another clip, Dave was heard saying, \u201cYou guys clearly were, like, seeing each other,\u201d as the camera panned to Lauren laughing before she said, \u201cI\u2019m not trying to hide anything.
