During a recent appearance on the \u201cFreakonomics\u201d podcast, Emanuel addressed the ongoing legal battle between Lively and her <em>It Ends With Us<\/em> costar <strong>Justin Baldoni<\/strong>, who was dropped by WME late last year. \u201cI mean, it is a f\u2014ed up, bad situation with what Baldoni \u2026 is doing. [He was my client] until I fired him,\u201d Emanuel said, adding that he is \u201ca ride or die\u201d fan of both Lively and her husband, who he referred to as \u201cgood people.\u201d Emanuel also stressed that Baldoni and his team should \u201clet the process play itself out\u201d as the back and forth continues. Lively initially sued Baldoni \u2014 who also directed <em>It Ends With Us<\/em> \u2014 for sexual harassment in December 2024. He denied the accusations before filing lawsuits against <em>The New York Times<\/em>, which reported Lively\u2019s claims, and against Lively, Reynolds and their publicist. Lively denounced Baldoni\u2019s defamation claims. A trial date has been set for next year.
