After she pursued love with Gerry Turner<\/b> during the debut season of <\/span>The Golden Bachelor<\/span><\/i><\/a>,<\/span><\/i> Susan Noles<\/b><\/a> revealed that she dated a man who almost appeared on <\/span>Joan Vassos<\/b><\/a>\u2019 season of <\/span>The Golden Bachelorette<\/span><\/i><\/a>.<\/p>\n \u201cSusan dated a guy for 10 minutes who all he did was talk about himself, and I was the one that said, \u2018Offload him,\u2019\u201d Kathy Swarts<\/strong> revealed during the Wednesday, February 12, episode of their \u201cBachelor Happy Hour\u201d podcast. \u201cIf a guy isn\u2019t asking you questions about yourself, if you\u2019re not asking him questions \u2014 it has to be reciprocal.\u201d<\/p>\n Susan, 67, added that she gave the man \u201cthe benefit of the doubt\u201d the first time they spoke on the phone, explaining she wondered if he was \u201cnervous.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cBut by the third phone call, I knew his life story, what he drove,\u201d she recalled. \u201cHe was supposed to be on Joan\u2019s season. It was a lot.\u201d<\/p>\n Kathy, 71, jokingly added, \u201cSusan couldn\u2019t even do our podcast because she was very busy writing his biography. She had no time.\u201d<\/p>\n Despite revealing that the unnamed man was supposed to pursue Joan, 62, on The Golden Bachelorette<\/em>, she did not explain how their brief romance came to an end or why he didn\u2019t end up on the reality show.<\/p>\n Susan and Joan got to know each other when they both competed for Gerry\u2019s heart during the debut season of The Golden Bachelor<\/span><\/i> in 2023. Gerry, 72, ended the season engaged to <\/span>Theresa Nist<\/b>, and they wed in January 2024. However, their romance wasn\u2019t meant to be and<\/span> they announced their split<\/span><\/a> in April of that year.<\/p>\n After Gerry and Theresa, 71, announced their divorce, Susan and Kathy revealed they were on his side<\/a>. \u201cI\u2019ve gotta support this man a little bit,\u201d Susan said while appearing on SiriusXM\u2019s \u201cThe Jess Cagle Show\u201d alongside her podcast cohost in May 2024. \u201cI feel like he got the wrong end of it.\u201d<\/p>\n While Joan\u2019s season of The Golden Bachelorette<\/span><\/i> was airing, she revealed that<\/span> she was setting some of her suitors up<\/span><\/a> with the women who competed on <\/span>The Golden Bachelor<\/span><\/i> with her. \u201cI\u2019ve already made a match,\u201d she told <\/span>Entertainment Tonight<\/span><\/i><\/a> in October 2024. \u201cI\u2019ve tried two. One is working.\u201d<\/p>\n At the time, she said that there was \u201cone that\u2019s about to work\u201d and another that was \u201cabout to happen.\u201d<\/p>\n Joan wouldn\u2019t reveal which of the men and women she set up, though she said that they were appreciative of her efforts. \u201cYou should see the texts I get from these ladies,\u201d she shared.<\/p>\n
