Rachel Weisz didn\u2019t \u2018allow\u2019 herself to bring her latest \u2018extreme\u2019 identical twin characters home with her after work<\/p>\n

The Oscar-winning actress, 53, who lives in New York with her James Bond actor husband Daniel Craig<\/a>, 55, and their children, has just finished making her new Amazon Prime series \u2018Dead Ringers\u2019 in which she plays sisters Elliott and Beverly Mantle.<\/p>\n

She told The Times newspaper about immersing herself in the dual role: \u201cThe volume is up to 11. It gets very operatic and heightened.<\/p>\n

\u201cThey\u2019re very extreme people, but every person is very complicated.\u201d<\/p>\n

When asked if the twisted sisters \u2013 who are intent on finding a \u201cnew way\u201d for women to give birth as part of their medical practice \u2013 stuck with her after shooting: \u201cNo, no, no. Don\u2019t allow it, I have a family.<\/p>\n

\n\u201cIf I’m playing a character and the director says, ‘Action!’, that’s when you jump in the pool, and then they say, \u2018Cut!\u2019, and you get out.<\/p>\n

\n\u201cThere just happened to be two of them.\u201d<\/p>\n

\nRachel\u2019s double role in \u2018Dead Ringers\u2019 is a six-part Amazon Prime series adaptation of the 1988 horror drama film of the same name by David Cronenberg, in which Jeremy Irons played identical male twins at the cutting edge of gynaecology.<\/p>\n

\nRachel recently told the Sunday Times she has to \u201cconcentrate more\u201d on not bringing her characters home now she has children.<\/p>\n

\nShe admitted about her roles taking up a lot of her mental space: \u201cThere is a kind of psychological bending towards your character, which probably affects an actor in ways that you don\u2019t even know.<\/p>\n

\n\u201cBut then I think, you unbend and return fully into the shape you were in.<\/p>\n

\n\u201cWhen you have kids you do have to concentrate more on not bringing it home. And it is a skill to learn, that discipline.\u201d<\/p>\n

\nRachel \u2013 whose children include son Henry, 13, who she had with her with her director ex-partner Darren Aronofsky, 54, as well as a four-year-old daughter with Daniel \u2013 added separating work and family has made her \u201cbetter\u201d.<\/p>\n

\nShe said: \u201cPersonally, it\u2019s a skill that’s made me better at my better at my life \u2013 keeping the two very separate.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
