Armie Hammer<\/strong><\/a> is opening up about cancel culture and his alleged bad behavior with women that got him on the receiving end of backlash.<\/p>\n The 38-year-old actor owned up to his poor treatment of women while giving an interview on The Louis Theroux Podcast<\/em>, but he says his actions were \u201cnot illegal.\u201d<\/p>\n Armie <\/strong>also addressed the cannibalism allegations, talked about his leaked text messages, and explained why his cancellation was the best thing that could ever happen to him. <\/p>\n \u201cI\u2019m very quick to admit that I was selfish, and inconsiderate, and an a\u2013hole, and a cad, and I used people to make me feel better,\u201d Armie <\/strong>began.<\/p>\n Keep reading to find out more\u2026<\/em><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n \u201cPeople were sort of like my bags of dope with skin on them,\u201d Armie <\/strong>continued. \u201cYou make me feel amazing, so I\u2019m going to throw everything into this, and we\u2019re going to have this whirlwind romance, and I\u2019m going to whisk you up, and we\u2019re going to go on trips, and we\u2019re going to do all this, and then I\u2019m going to bring you home and I\u2019m going to go, \u2018Thanks so much, that was great,\u2019 and then I\u2019m going to move on.\u201d <\/p>\n Armie <\/strong>said that he would \u201clove bomb\u201d women and then break up with them and quickly move on with someone else. <\/p>\n \u201cI would go do something almost exactly the same with someone else,\u201d Armie <\/strong>said. \u201cAnd I left a lot of people in that wake very angry at me for my behavior, which, by the way, I\u2019m not angry. A\u2013hole behavior, there\u2019s no way around that\u2026 Does it make me a dick? Absolutely. I have no problem admitting that I was a dick. That\u2019s not illegal.\u201d <\/p>\n Armie <\/strong>was asked about cancel culture and if he\u2019d ever work with someone who was canceled, like Woody Allen<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n \u201cAt this point, I don\u2019t know that I\u2019d buy into any of the cancel, we need to this and that,\u201d he said. \u201cIf I say, \u2018No, I would never work with Woody Allen,\u2019 then all I\u2019m doing is saying, \u2018I believe in this system that cancels people.\u2019\u201d <\/p>\n Armie <\/strong>also addressed the cannibalism allegations. <\/p>\n \u201cYou know what you have to do to actually be a cannibal? You have to actually eat human flesh. So no,\u201d Armie <\/strong>said. \u201cSometimes when you\u2019re involved with a person, and you\u2019re dating, and you guys are having sex, and you are a bit of a provocateur, and you are exacerbated by alcohol or drugs or anything like that, it\u2019s fun to ruffle feathers and it\u2019s fun to push the envelope little by little\u2026 Did I ever have any intention of cutting anything off of anyone or eating anything off of anyone? No.\u201d<\/p>\n What about those text messages?<\/p>\n \u201cI\u2019m not going to argue the messages,\u201d he said. \u201cThe most important context to give these kinds of things is they are one side of a conversation. As you\u2019ll notice, of all of the text messages that were released, the person who released them, their side was cut out of the entire conversation. It makes it look like I was just rambling to myself\u2026 Any digitally altered evidence is immediately inadmissible because you have no context. That could have been a very funny conversation between two people who were joking and pushing each other and egging each other on in the way that sometimes you see comedians pushing the boundary further and further when they\u2019re having a conversation.\u201d <\/p>\n Armie<\/strong> considers his cancellation the best thing that has happened to him.<\/p>\n \u201cIt killed off all of the ego. It killed off all of the bulls\u2014,\u201d he said. \u201cIt killed off all of the pretense. I spent three years and change really having to examine myself and really having to look at myself and really having to go, \u2018Whoosh,\u2019 to all of the external validation that I was getting.
