Bryan Olesen<\/strong> has years of experience in the music industry, and it all came full circle on The Voice<\/em><\/a>. The Christian rocker was the third-place winner on the show in May 2024. Who Is The Voice\u2019s Bryan Olesen?<\/h2>\n

Bryan is a singer and musician from Connecticut. He competed on season 25 of The Voice<\/em> as a member of John Legend\u2019s<\/strong> team.<\/p>\n

John, Reba McEntire<\/strong> and Dan + Shay<\/strong> all turned around for Bryan during the blind auditions and he picked the \u201cAll of Me\u201d singer as his coach. During the battle rounds, John chose to give Bryan the \u201cplayoff pass,\u201d which meant he was able to bypass the knockout round of the competition.<\/p>\n

When viewer voting began, Bryan made it to the semifinals. He was in the bottom five based on votes but moved onto the finals thanks to his instant save performance. Bryan ultimately came in third place during season 25, following behind Josh Sanders<\/strong> and Asher HaVon<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Bryan is one of the founding members of the Christian rock band VOTA, which was previously known as Casting Pearls. He was also a member of the band Newsboys from February 2004 until January 2006, serving as the group\u2019s lead guitarist and background vocalist.<\/p>\n

Since Bryan was one of the older contestants on the show \u2013 he was 50 when the season aired \u2013 he was happy to find validation amid the competition. \u201cI do feel in general our culture celebrates youth and beauty, and to be in this season of my life and to be affirmed \u2026 I still need it at my age,\u201d he told Parade. \u201cJust to get that encouragement from John as a coach and the other performers \u2026 it\u2019s wonderful.\u201d<\/p>\n

Why Did Bryan Olesen Leave Newsboys?<\/h2>\n

Bryan was initially brought into Newsboys to replace guitarist Jody Davis, whose daughter was sick. He remained with the group for nearly two years before departing to focus on his band VOTA (previously known as Casting Pearls).<\/p>\n

Bryan has been married to his wife, Jennifer Hines<\/strong>, since 1997.<\/p>\n

Bryan and Jennifer have three children together: Daughter Jadyn, born in 2001, and two sons, Myles and Liam, born in 2002 and 2004, respectively.<\/p>\n

During Bryan\u2019s blind audition, Jadyn was watching his performance from the wings. The coaches asked her to join him on stage and they sang together, harmonizing on a rendition of \u201cPut Your Records On.\u201d<\/p>\n

Jadyn auditioned in front of coaches John Legend, Adam Levine<\/strong>, Kelsea Ballerini<\/strong> and Michael Bubl\u00e9<\/strong> with a cover of Paramore\u2019s \u201cStill Into You.\u201d Both Kelsea and Michael turned their chairs, captivated by Jadyn\u2019s star power.<\/p>\n

Though John did not turn around for Jadyn, he thought she looked familiar, and she revealed who her father was.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe was on Team Legend!\u201d John shouted. \u201cNow I\u2019m feeling a little FOMO right now.\u201d<\/p>\n

While giving their elevator pitches for Jadyn to join their teams, Kelsea told the singer that she loved her \u201cpure\u201d voice, and Michael said he could tell Jadyn had \u201clight pouring out\u201d of her. The \u201cFeeling Good\u201d singer told Jadyn that he wanted to be able to dance to her music with his two daughters once she became a big star. This convinced Jadyn to join his team.<\/p>\n

Bryan shared a sweet tribute to Jadyn on Instagram in honor of her beginning her journey on The Voice<\/em>.<\/p>\n

\u201cJust when I thought this crazy wonderful ride on The Voice<\/em> couldn\u2019t get any better!!! I can\u2019t even begin to describe how this makes me feel. I\u2019m so proud of my girl for just leaning in and embracing this opportunity,\u201d he wrote in a January 10, 2025, post. \u201cJadyn, I know you\u2019re incredibly talented and you\u2019re going to do amazing. but what gives me the most joy and pride is how beautiful you are inside and out. And now the world will get to see who you are. I love you sweetheart! Enjoy the ride!!\u201d<\/p>\n

Where Is The Voice\u2019s Bryan Olesen Now?<\/h2>\n

After his stint on The Voice<\/em>, Bryan continued to perform gigs throughout 2024, and he has even more shows in the works for 2025, according to VOTA\u2019s website. The band is set to travel around the world, with tour dates scheduled in California, Colorado, Iceland and more.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n
