Caitlyn Jenner has suffered a heartbreaking loss.<\/p>\n
On Friday, the long-time reality announced that her mother, Esther, had passed away at the age of 96.<\/p>\n
Jenner confirmed the very sad news via an emotional Instagram post, which was penned alongside photos of Caitlyn with her late parent.<\/p>\n
Here is a snapshot of Esther on her 95th birthday, for example:<\/p>\n<\/noscript>\u201cI am heartbroken to announce my mom passed away yesterday morning, peacefully,\u201d the 73-year shared via social media on April 21. <\/p>\n
\u201cLosing a mother is unique in the sense that she is the only person that loved me my entire life. I will miss her tremendously. <\/p>\n
\u201cShe was a few weeks shy of 97 and lived a full life. <\/p>\n

\u201cI am so sorry for your loss. God bless your mom. Sending you hugs and prayers.\u201d <\/p>\n
Elsewhere, Jacqueline Osborne added: <\/p>\n
\u201cSo sorry for your loss, sending loads of love xxxx.<\/p>\nEsther commented on her child\u2019s transition in 2015, telling People Magazine in June 2016 that it took \u201cso much courage\u201d for Caitlyn to publicly embrace her true identity.<\/p>\n
\u201cWhen I first saw [Caitlyn], all I wanted to do was give her a big hug,\u201d she said at the time, emphasizing that all that matters is that \u201cshe\u2019s happy.\u201d<\/p>\n
Over the years, Esther also appeared on several of the famous family\u2019s reality programs\u2026 including on Keeping Up with the Kardashians, I Am Cait, and Untold: Caitlyn Jenner.<\/p>\nIn a July 2015 Vanity Fair interview regarding her transition, the former Olympian said that her mom had not yet \u201cmet\u201d Caitlyn.<\/p>\n
However, she already had positive hopes for their relationship.<\/p>\n
\u201c[My mom and I] had a conversation the other day, we were talking about a lot of things, and, you know, she goes, \u2018You know what, I think I can have a better relationship with Caitlyn now than I [could before],\u2019\u201d Caitlyn said way back then. <\/p>\n
\u201cAnd so when she ends the conversation, she goes, \u2018OK, goodbye, Caitlyn.\u2019 It was very funny, very cute.\u201d<\/p>\nCaitly\u2019s dad, William, passed away in 2000; and her brother, Burt, sadly died in 1976.<\/p>\n
Along with Caitlyn and Burt, the couple shared daughters Pam Mettler and Lisa Jenner. <\/p>\n
Esther is survived by her many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.<\/p>\n
We send our condolences to Caitlyn, her friends, family members and loved ones. May Ester rest in peace.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n
