As the former couple prepare to welcome their first child together, sources say the \u2018Transformers\u2019 actress, 38, is \u201ctaking space apart\u201d from the \u2018Bad Things\u2019 rapper, 34, after he was at the centre of cheating rumours, and has no intention of taking him back, even though she apparently wants him in their life as a co-parent to their new baby.<\/p>\n
A source told Mail Online Megan and MGK, about the state of their relationship following their split in December, just weeks after announcing they were expecting a baby. <\/p>\n
The insider said: \u201cThey don\u2019t talk at great lengths but have exchanged a few texts.<\/p>\n
\u201cMegan has cut down communication with the music artist in order to heal.<\/p>\n
\n\u201cShe\u2019s taking space apart from MGK and it\u2019s been beneficial. “<\/p>\n
\n\u201cDespite the pair no longer being together, the actress still wants him to be a part of their child\u2019s life but emphasises she doesn\u2019t want to be in a relationship with him. <\/p>\n
\n\u201c(MGK) wants to get back together with Megan, but she\u2019s told him she is done for good.\u201d<\/p>\n
\nThe actress is already a mother to three children with her 50-year-old former husband Brian Austin Green.<\/p>\n
\nEarlier this week, Brian publicly criticised MGK \u2013 real name Colson Baker \u2013 accusing him of not being \u201chonest\u201d and urging him to \u201cstop caring so much about how you\u2019re perceived that you will try and drag other people\u201d.<\/p>\n
\nHe posted the message on his Instagram stories alongside MGK\u2019s track \u2018Don\u2019t Let Me Go\u2019.<\/p>\n
\nBrian told Mail Online about speaking out: \u201cThat\u2019s not something that I normally do, but it just really at the time, really got under my skin to read about his sort of take on it. <\/p>\n
\n\u201cSo I spoke my mind, but then I\u2019ve since come to terms with the fact that I won\u2019t do that anymore. I\u2019m going to shut up and just sit back.\u201d<\/p>\n
\nMegan and Brian, who were married from 2010 to 2021, co-parent their three children \u2013 Noah, 12, Bodhi, 10, and Journey, eight. <\/p>\n
\nBrian also shares a two-year-old son, Zane, with his 38-year-old fianc\u00e9e Sharna Burgess.<\/p>\n
\nMegan and MGK\u2019s breakup reportedly stemmed from allegations of infidelity, with a source saying in December: \u201cShe found text messages involving other women and decided she was done.\u201d<\/p>\n
