Move over, Prince Harry<\/strong> and Meghan Markle<\/strong><\/a>, there\u2019s a new royal documentary star in town. King Charles III<\/strong> is set to join the entrepreneurial couple<\/a> in the nonfiction film space<\/a>, with production already underway for an Amazon Prime feature about his urgent concerns about the future of the planet.<\/p>\n The film has yet to be publicly named, but according to the UK Times<\/em><\/a>, it will center on the ideals presented by King Charles in his 2010 book<\/a>, Harmony: A New Way of Looking At Our World.<\/em><\/p>\n Speaking with Vanity Fair<\/em><\/a> at the time of the book\u2019s release, the then-prince of Wales said that he<\/a> wrote the philosophical treatise because \u201cI am absolutely determined to be the defender of nature. Full stop. That\u2019s what the rest of my life is going to be concerned with.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cThis is a call to revolution,\u201d the longtime environmentalist<\/a> wrote in the opening of the now-15-year-old book. \u201cThe Earth is under threat. It cannot cope with all that we demand of it. It is losing its balance and we humans are causing this to happen.\u201d<\/p>\n The concerns Charles laid out in 2010 have certainly intensified in the years since<\/a>, especially given the current US administration\u2019s stated plan<\/a> to undo work to battle the climate crisis. Meanwhile, Charles\u2019s children have expressed agreement with their father in the matter, with Prince William<\/strong> making efforts<\/a> to reduce his carbon footprint and Harry advocating for environmental innovation<\/a> in the States.<\/p>\n The latter, who also starred in 2022\u2019s Harry & Meghan<\/em><\/a>, has a nonfiction deal with Netflix<\/a>. The latest in that arrangement, a show starring his wife and entitled With Love, Meghan<\/em>, will debut on the streamer<\/a> on March 4.<\/p>\n The series is intended to give the world \u201can authentic look at\u201d Markle, a friend said last month. An unnamed source who spoke with the Times<\/em> suggested that Charles\u2019s Amazon project seeks a similar level of candor. \u201cMore than any other documentary he has done before, the aim seems to be to tell the world what the King stands for and what he is all about,\u201d the source said.<\/p>\n
