Christina Haack<\/strong><\/a> (formerly Christina Hall) is feeling free on The Flip Off<\/em> without ex Josh Hall<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n \u201cIt\u2019s so much easier without somebody else bothering me,\u201d the Christina on the Coast<\/em> star, 41, said of her upcoming HGTV series on The Jennifer Hudson Show<\/em><\/a> on Tuesday, January 28. \u201cI mean, I don\u2019t have to ask approval from anyone, no one\u2019s, like, weighing me down.\u201d<\/p>\n The<\/em> Flip Off<\/em> follows two teams of house flippers as they each find, purchase and renovate a house to compete for the biggest financial gain. In addition to Christina, The Flip Off<\/em> stars her first ex-husband, Tarek El Moussa<\/strong>, and his wife, Heather Rae El Moussa<\/strong>, with Christina\u2019s second ex-husband, Ant Anstead<\/strong>, also set to appear. Josh, 44, was previously slated to star as Christina\u2019s teammate, but he exited the home renovation show in July 2024 after they both filed for divorce.<\/p>\n Host Jennifer Hudson<\/strong> asked the Flip or Flop<\/em> alum if she felt disadvantaged by not having a teammate anymore. However, Christina felt quite the opposite.<\/p>\n \u201cNo, I think I have an advantage,\u201d she explained.<\/p>\n Christina previously opened up about how Josh was \u201cvery hard to film with<\/a>\u201d on The Flip Off<\/em>, which is set to premiere on Wednesday, January 29, prior to his departure from the show.<\/p>\n \u201cHe\u2019d always get upset with me, like, \u2018Oh, my gosh, you did this,\u2019 or \u2018You did that.\u2019 And I\u2019m like, \u2018I\u2019m making a TV show,\u2019\u201d she told Us Weekly<\/em> in an interview published on January 9. \u201cUltimately, it was better that he left after episode 1 because the show would\u2019ve sucked.\u201d<\/p>\n The reality star admitted that filming the series \u201cprobably just sped up\u201d her split from her estranged husband, as she claimed that The Flip Off<\/em> brought out Josh\u2019s \u201cinsecurity.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cIf I would laugh at Tarek, I would get the silent treatment for a week,\u201d Christina continued. \u201cSomebody with more confidence would be able to say, \u2018This is my wife, but yes, she does this for TV. She was filming with Tarek when I met her.\u2019 There was a rationale there that didn\u2019t make sense. You know what you signed up for. I\u2019m your wife, and I\u2019m choosing you, but you\u2019re choosing to make my life harder over insecurities.\u201d<\/p>\n Josh has also spoken out about the alleged drama between him and his estranged wife on set, claiming in a January 6 Instagram Stories post that the tension was \u201cmanufactured\u201d by HGTV<\/a>.<\/p>\n \u201c[That feeling when] you can\u2019t get enough ratings with celebrity designers, so you rely on manufactured drama with me, a nobody,\u201d he captioned a screenshot of an article teasing a \u201ctense fight\u201d between him and Christina. \u201c@hgtv, you\u2019ve changed.\u201d<\/p>\n However, Christina quickly clapped back on her own Stories, writing, \u201cManufactured?! Pretty sure no one at Hgtv told you to be rude to me \u2026 That was all natural.\u201d<\/p>\n The Christina in the Country<\/em> star shared a photo of herself crying in her car and added the caption, \u201cThis was taken June 21, 2024. After one of my shoots with Josh. This is \u2018real\u2019 and a reminder to myself that I deserve better.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n
