Jason Isaacs<\/strong> got a good whiff of some of his The White Lotus<\/em><\/a> costars while they filmed season three in Thailand.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe\u2019re doing intimate scenes, and you stink,\u201d Isaacs, 61, said of the conditions on set for the anthology series in an interview with TIME<\/a> published on January 24. \u201cBy the end of each day, we\u2019re just caked in sweat and makeup. You can peel your clothes off with a trowel. It melts your fillings.\u201d<\/p>\n

Isaacs acknowledged that he and his costars were blessed to be filming a TV series at a resort in Southeast Asia, but the heat had started to get to them.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt would be churlish to complain, there are terrible things going on in the world,\u201d he said. \u201cBut we\u2019ve all had enough.\u201d<\/p>\n

Isaacs wasn\u2019t the only person on set to notice the conditions. Michelle Monaghan<\/strong> noted that the rising heat in Thailand was unlike anything she ever experienced before.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s the hottest I\u2019ve ever felt,\u201d Monaghan, 48, told the outlet. \u201cSo we\u2019ve definitely endured a lot.\u201d<\/p>\n

Sam Nivola<\/strong> added that the rising temperatures made it \u201chard to drink or do anything\u201d since it would just make you \u201cfeel dehydrated.\u201d Creator Mike White<\/strong>, who had been on location for all three seasons, agreed with the stars of his show, sharing that it was \u201creally f\u2014ing hot\u201d and joked it was a good thing he \u201cgot in shape\u201d before filming began.<\/p>\n

Production for The White Lotus<\/em> season 3 kicked off in Thailand<\/a> in February 2024. When season 3 was officially announced, HBO \u2014 who partnered up with the Tourism Authority of Thailand \u2014 revealed that the series would film in Koh Samui, Phuket and Bangkok.<\/p>\n

The White Lotus<\/em><\/a> follows a group of travelers and resort workers who visit the hotel chain of the same name. In addition to Isaacs, Monaghan and Nivola, the latest installment of the HBO series has a star-studded lineup<\/a> of fictional guests and employees including Leslie Bibb<\/strong>, Carrie Coon<\/strong>, Walton Goggins<\/strong>, Sarah Catherine Hook<\/strong>, Patrick Schwarzenegger<\/strong> and more.<\/p>\n
