Brittany Mahomes<\/strong><\/a> made it clear she isn\u2019t interested in hearing conspiracy theories surrounding the Kansas City Chiefs.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

As Brittany\u2019s husband, Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes<\/strong>, and his teammates prepare to do battle against the Philadelphia Eagles in Super Bowl LIX on Sunday, February 9, conversation has been building<\/a> about the relationship between Kansas City and NFL officiating crews. Specifically, the idea that referees have been favorable to the Chiefs throughout the playoffs.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Brittany took to her Instagram Story on Thursday, January 30, reposting a message from longtime Chiefs radio announcer Mitch Holthus<\/strong>, in case there was any confusion about where she stands on the issue.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cWe can stay with false narratives or discuss this \u2014 KC was 17th in % of scoring drives that were aided by a penalty for a first down on such drives in regular season,\u201d the post read. \u201cNumber 1? Wait for it\u2026Buffalo. 33% of scoring drives were aided by penalty for a first down on 86 scoring drives.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

Essentially, Holthus\u2019 message was that the Chiefs were in the middle of the pack all season when it came to being bailed out by the officials.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Holthus referenced the Buffalo Bills as being the biggest benefactors of drive-extending penalty calls. Kansas City defeated the Bills in the AFC Championship game on Sunday, January 25, after which Brittany had a special message for Buffalo fans<\/a>.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

As for the narratives surrounding the Chiefs, it hasn\u2019t just been angry, everyday football fans who have been vocal about their beliefs.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
