Christina Haack<\/strong><\/a> (formerly Hall) revealed for the first time how estranged husband Josh Hall<\/strong><\/a> wanted her to take his last name and change it from El Moussa prior to their 2021 marriage<\/p>\n \u201cThis is a competition, and we have to pull out all the stops. Whatever it takes to win, we do it! Halls rule,\u201d Josh, 44, told Christina, 41, during the series premiere of HGTV\u2019s The Flip Off<\/em> on Wednesday, January 29. \u201cYou are supposed to say it with me or repeat it or something that shows that you are with me,\u201d he added when she didn\u2019t show enough passion.<\/p>\n When Josh remarked to Christina that she was \u201ca Hall now,\u201d he snarked, \u201cDon\u2019t get confused in this competition about what your last name is.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cWhen I met Josh, my name was still Christina El Moussa on everything,\u201d the Christina on the Coast<\/em> star explained in a confessional. \u201cJosh did not like that and he was all about me becoming a Hall.\u201d<\/p>\n The duo married in October 2021 after six months of dating. Josh filed for divorce from Christina in July 2024 after two years of marriage, and she followed suit with her own divorce petition. Josh and Christina are still embroiled in a bitter divorce battle<\/a> that is heading to court.<\/p>\n \u201cJosh knows that Tarek and I have a history,\u201d Christina continued following an on-camera spat. \u201cI am sure some of it is the stress of the competition.\u201d<\/p>\n The California native was married to first ex-husband Tarek El Moussa<\/strong>, 43, from 2009 through 2018. The duo continued to costar in HGTV\u2019s Flip or Flop<\/em> following their divorce. The show ran from 2013 through 2022.<\/p>\n Christina briefly changed her surname to Anstead during her second marriage to Ant Anstead<\/strong>. The pair wed in December 2018 and split in September 2020.<\/p>\n The Flip Off<\/em>\u2018s concept pitted Tarek and second wife Heather Rae El Moussa<\/strong> (n\u00e9e Young) against Christina and Josh to see which couple could purchase, renovate and flip a home for the highest profit.<\/p>\n Josh only appeared in the first episode of The Flip Off<\/em>, as their divorce filings coincided with the show\u2019s production schedule.<\/p>\n After the split, Christina was paired with industry professionals to help her in the competition against Tarek and Heather, 37. In a show of how much they\u2019ve repaired their relationship<\/a> since their split, Ant, 45, even makes a cameo with Christina.<\/p>\n The tension between Christina and Josh was evident in The Flip Off<\/em>\u2018s premiere. In one scene, he called his then-wife \u201crude\u201d after she explained she isn\u2019t as vocal on camera as he hoped.<\/p>\n \u201cThe amount of s\u2013t you say where I am like, \u2018I wish she would shut up already?\u2019\u201d Josh snapped at Christina. \u201cWe have been together long enough now \u2014 years \u2014 and you can\u2019t figure me out by now? It is going to be a rough run. My wife is pissing me off right now.\u201d<\/p>\n Christina revealed to fans that she had her maiden name legally restored and was no longer a Hall. \u201cOfficially a Haack,\u201d she wrote alongside a photo of the legal paperwork on January 25. \u201cIdentifying as only married twice. Time to update the Wikipedia,\u201d the Beach Bargains star added with a subtle swipe about her marriage to Josh.<\/p>\n The Flip or Flip<\/em> alum made it clear she was thrilled Josh was no longer part of the show<\/a> following their split.<\/p>\n \u201cHe\u2019d always get upset with me, like, \u2018Oh, my gosh, you did this,\u2019 or \u2018You did that.\u2019 And I\u2019m like, \u2018I\u2019m making a TV show,\u2019\u201d Christina said during an interview with Us Weekly<\/em><\/a> published on January 9. \u201cUltimately, it was better that he left after episode 1 because the show would\u2019ve sucked.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cThis isn\u2019t Josh\u2019s show. No one\u2019s going to miss that he\u2019s not in it,\u201d Christina added. \u201cJosh is not a TV host, he\u2019s not a house flipper, he\u2019s not a designer. He was just my husband in it. With Tarek, we built everything together, and I still have respect for him. I have no respect for Josh.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n
