Real Housewives of Salt Lake City<\/em><\/a> star Meredith Marks<\/strong><\/a> threatened to walk off the stage at the season 5 reunion after an argument between herself and Angie Katsanevas<\/strong><\/a> seemed to not be going anywhere.<\/p>\n There was a disagreement regarding Angie\u2019s husband Shawn Trujillo\u2019s<\/strong><\/a> remarks about Meredith\u2019s son Brooks\u2019 sexuality<\/a> during a podcast appearance.<\/p>\n \u201cRobert from Houston said, \u2018Meredith, why did you expect an apology from Shawn when you did leverage Brooks\u2019 sexuality so you wouldn\u2019t receive further scrutiny for the false allegations you made about Shawn?\u2019\u201d Andy Cohen<\/strong> asked while reading a fan\u2019s question during part 2 of the RHOSLC<\/em> season 5 reunion on Wednesday, January 29.<\/p>\n Meredith, 53, shot back, \u201cWell, that would be impossible because I didn\u2019t make the allegations. Does anyone here know the definition of \u2018leverage?\u2019 To use to maximum advantage.\u201d<\/p>\n The mom of three then reread Shawn\u2019s answer from the podcast when he said that he \u201cthought [Meredith] tried to leverage [Brooks\u2019 sexuality] as a way out and a pivot for her.\u201d However, Angie, 50, was adamant that Shawn\u2019s answer was taken out of context and asked for Andy, 56, to play the question from the host of \u201cBeyond the Velvet Rope,\u201d David Yontef<\/strong>, and Andy obliged.<\/p>\n \u201cMeredith said in this most or second-most recent episode, \u2018You know, my son is gay. You know, I\u2019m on the board of GLAAD. You know I would never out someone\u2019s sexuality like that.\u2019 Is that another roundabout, not good defense?\u201d David said in the recording. \u201cShe\u2019s using that to say, \u2018Why am I being blamed for this? I would never out someone\u2019s sexuality.\u2019 Not that there\u2019s sexuality to even out.\u201d<\/p>\n Andy pointed out that David\u2019s question was \u201cvery leading\u201d and added, \u201cThis seems like a huge waste of time, and I\u2019m sorry.\u201d<\/p>\n The reunion host\u2019s comment didn\u2019t sit well with Meredith and she replied, \u201cOK, Andy, you may think it\u2019s a huge waste of time,\u201d before Andy cut in and said that it sounded like David \u201cled him into a thing.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cDon\u2019t take the bait then!\u201d Meredith snapped. \u201cOr just say, \u2018I shouldn\u2019t have said that.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n However, Shawn added that when he recorded the podcast, he was fending off rumors that he had extramarital affairs with men and he was under the impression that Meredith and former cast member Monica Garcia<\/strong><\/a> were behind those rumors. Meredith claimed that Monica had told Angie multiple times that Meredith had nothing to do with the rumors, but as Angie tried to explain her side of the story, Meredith became tired of the conversation.<\/p>\n \u201cI\u2019m getting angry,\u201d the RHOSLC<\/em> star said as she stood up. \u201cIn fact, I think I\u2019m finished. I\u2019m done. The whole reason I came here was not for this. This is a load of s\u2013t.\u201d<\/p>\n Andy pleaded with Meredith to stay and said that they had \u201cestablished\u201d that she was not behind the rumors and Angie was simply explaining why they initially believed that she did because Monica had told a different story to each woman.<\/p>\n \u201cUnless I know you\u2019re going to play the audio at Apr\u00e9s Ski when Monica very clearly says, \u2018Meredith didn\u2019t say it. I did,\u2019 \u2013 unless I hear that, and I\u2019m being told it will play at the reunion, I am finished,\u201d the Meredith Marks Caviar founder ranted.<\/p>\n Andy eventually managed to calm Meredith down by telling her he had been agreeing with her the entire time, and she ultimately stayed for the rest of the episode.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n
