Christina Haack<\/strong><\/a> and Josh Hall<\/strong><\/a>\u2018s marriage came to an end during the series premiere of HGTV\u2019s The Flip Off<\/em> \u2014 and the red flags were everywhere.<\/p>\n

Before costarring with Hall (briefly), Tarek El Moussa<\/strong> and Heather Rae El Moussa<\/strong> on The Flip Off<\/em>, Christina, 41, got her start on Flip or Flop<\/em>. Christina and Tarek, 43, worked on the show during their marriage \u2014 which lasted from 2009 to 2018 \u2014and after their divorce was finalized.<\/p>\n

Christina subsequently found love with Ant Anstead<\/strong><\/a> and they got married in 2018 before welcoming their son, Hudson, one year later. (Christina also shares daughter Taylor, 14, and son Brayden, 9, with Tarek.) Christina and Ant, 45, worked together on Christina on the Coast<\/em> before their relationship fizzled out.<\/p>\n

After her divorce from Ant, Christina moved on with Josh, 44. She filed for divorce in July 2024 and has since been linked to Christopher LaRocca<\/strong><\/a>. In her professional life, Christina remained on The Flip Off<\/em><\/a> after Josh exited the show.<\/p>\n

\n\t\t\tGoing her own way. Christina Hall has been in the spotlight for nearly a decade \u2014 and the attention hasn\u2019t always been easy to navigate. The HGTV star was married to Tarek El Moussa from 2009 to 2018, and the former couple share daughter Taylor and son Brayden. After calling it quits, the coparents continued [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s much easier to film with someone when you don\u2019t have to go home with them. It\u2019s not usually a good idea to film with a spouse,\u201d Christina exclusively told Us Weekly<\/em> in a cover story earlier this month, referring to her time on the show<\/a> with Tarek and Heather. \u201cJosh was very hard to film with. He didn\u2019t get it.\u201d<\/p>\n

She continued: \u201cHe\u2019d always get upset with me, like \u2018Oh, my gosh, you did this\u2019 or \u2018You did that.\u2019 And I\u2019m like, \u2018I\u2019m making a TV show.\u2019 Ultimately, it was better that he left after episode one because the show would\u2019ve sucked.\u201d<\/p>\n

Josh, for his part, questioned the moments that made it into the show. \u201cTFW you can\u2019t get enough ratings with celebrity \ud83c\udfe0designers so you manufactured drama with me, a nobody,\u201d he wrote via his Instagram Story in January. \u201c@hgtv, you\u2019ve changed.\u201d<\/p>\n

The first scene featuring Christina and Josh was actually a confessional shot, where an offscreen producer asked if they could \u201chold hands\u201d for the scene. They tried to find a comfortable position before reflecting on how Christina\u2019s split from Tarek led her to Josh.<\/a><\/p>\n

\u201cTwo children and our flipping business was very successful,\u201d Christina said about her relationship with Tarek. \u201cThere were some serious cracks developing. I got remarried and that didn\u2019t work out. And then Josh and I met and I fell like love again.\u201d<\/p>\n

Josh quipped that he hoped \u201cthird time\u2019s the charm\u201d for Christina.<\/p>\n

You are supposed to say it with me or repeat it or something that shows that you are with me,\u201d Josh said in a separate scene while reminding Christina that she\u2019s \u201ca Hall\u201d now. \u201cDon\u2019t get confused in this competition about what your last name is.\u201d<\/p>\n

Christina clarified why Josh made a dig about her name<\/a>, adding, \u201cWhen I met Josh, my name was still Christina El Moussa on everything. Josh did not like that and he was all about me becoming a Hall.\u201d<\/p>\n

Getting on Each Other\u2019s Bad Side<\/h3>\n

While on their way to check out a house, Christina and Josh kept visibly irritating each other.<\/p>\n

\u201cI am telling stories and every time I do, you tune out,\u201d he told Christina, who fired back, \u201cIt\u2019s not even a story. You are trying to educate me on something I have no interest in.\u201d<\/p>\n

Josh called Christina \u201crude\u201d for not<\/a> responding to him. \u201cThe amount of s\u2014 you say where I am like, \u2018I wish she would shut up already?’\u201d he replied. \u201cWe have been together long enough now \u2014 years \u2014 and you can\u2019t figure me out by now? It is going to be a rough run. My wife is pissing me off right now.\u201d<\/p>\n

Christina noted in a confessional that Josh was \u201ca bit moody,\u201d adding, \u201cJosh knows that Tarek and I have a history. I am sure some of it is the stress of the competition.\u201d<\/p>\n

As the completion got more tense, so did the energy between Christina and Josh. Their last scenes before his offscreen exit showed the pair trying to figure out where to cut corners on the house they wanted to flip.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe are going to lose money and lose to them,\u201d Christina told Josh, who attempted to calm her down as she grew more concerned<\/a>. \u201cLet me go over these numbers.\u201d<\/p>\n

Christina called out Josh\u2019s frustration, saying, \u201cDon\u2019t get frustrated! Why are you throwing your pen?\u201d She followed up by suggesting they \u201cstart from scratch\u201d before explaining to Josh why Tarek\u2019s methods of cost-cutting in the past might work in their favor now.<\/p>\n

\u201cJosh doesn\u2019t like to be wrong so I try to tiptoe around it but ultimately I am thinking like a house flipper and not a designer with an unlimited budget,\u201d she told the cameras. \u201cI am in this competition to win it and I feel like he has to have a little more respect for the fact that I know what I am talking about.\u201d<\/p>\n

Christina broke the news of her split to the audience during an emotional moment with Tarek.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe had a blowup over nothing. [It was] middle fingers in my face,\u201d she revealed. \u201cThings with Josh have been bad for a long time. Not just kind of bad but bad and the kids literally ask me to leave. They told me he is not nice to me.\u201d<\/p>\n

Christina claimed that Tarek made Josh<\/a> \u201cfeel very insecure,\u201d adding, \u201cEvery time we would barely joke at soccer or I laughed at you, he would not speak to me for two to three days. I would get the silent treatment.\u201d<\/p>\n

While reflecting on the demise of their relationship, Christina admitted that she felt as if Josh didn\u2019t \u201clike\u201d her and would often call her \u201ccocky and arrogant.\u201d Tarek defended Christina by saying that Josh was \u201cprojecting,\u201d but she ultimately broke down on screen.<\/a><\/p>\n

\u201cEverything since 2016 has been so hard and so horrible. There are so many good things but there are so many bad things,\u201d Christina said while referring to her 2016 split from Tarek. \u201cIt has really taken a bad toll on me and I feel like I try to hide it and pretend I am not affected. But then I do more stupid things to make myself feel better and I keep getting into things too fast that I know aren\u2019t right.\u201d<\/p>\n
