Things got heated between Christina Haack\u2019s<\/strong><\/a> former romantic interests Josh Hall<\/strong><\/a> and Tarek El Moussa on the season premiere of HGTV\u2019s The Flip Off.<\/em><\/p>\n The show\u2019s premise follows Christina, 41, and Josh, 44, as they team up against her ex-husband Tarek El Moussa<\/strong> and his wife, Heather El Moussa<\/strong> (n\u00e9e Young), while they each find, purchase and renovate a house to compete for the biggest financial gain.<\/p>\n In an effort to save costs, Josh and his father, William Hall<\/strong>, decided to do the demolition work for their first flip themselves, rather than hire outside help.<\/p>\n \u201cTarek says \u2018I\u2019m not handy. I\u2019m not getting dirty. I\u2019m not sweating,’\u201d Josh complained to his dad about his competitor as they went to work on the Wednesday, January 29 episode. Tarek, 43, FaceTimed Josh during the workday and Josh criticized him for appearing too \u201crelaxed\u201d on the first day of the competition.<\/p>\n \u201cWhen I was a rookie flipper, I used to do the work too. When you\u2019re a pro like me you just sit on the big couch,\u201d the HGTV alum replied. \u201cBy the way, your wife, she\u2019s going to be way over budget. She\u2019s going to mismanage and you\u2019re going to be behind schedule.\u201d<\/p>\n Josh told Tarek to get out of his ear, adding, \u201cAct like a man, put on a shirt that\u2019s not $700 and you can save money on demo.\u201d<\/p>\n The Flip Off<\/em> was announced in May 2024, only two months before Josh filed for divorce from Christina<\/a> on July 16, 2024. She followed suit by filing her own paperwork one day later.<\/p>\n Although the pair had already begun filming The Flip Off<\/em> before they parted ways, Christina admitted shooting the show was smoother without Josh<\/a>.<\/p>\n \u201cIt\u2019s so much easier without somebody else bothering me,\u201d the Christina on the Coast<\/em> star said on The Jennifer Hudson Show<\/em> on Tuesday, January 28. \u201cI mean, I don\u2019t have to ask approval from anyone, no one\u2019s, like, weighing me down.\u201d<\/p>\n Host Jennifer Hudson<\/strong> asked the Flip or Flop<\/em> alum if she felt disadvantaged by not having a teammate anymore for the competition show. However, Christina felt quite the opposite. \u201cNo, I think I have an advantage,\u201d she explained.<\/p>\n
