The 41-year-old retired professional wrestler tied the knot with ‘Dancing with the Stars’ professional Artem Chigvintsev -with whom she has four-year-old son Matteo – in 2022 but they called time on their marriage two years later and has now admitted that she doesn’t want to ever have to “sign paperwork” for a relationship again. <\/p>\n
She told UsWeekly: “I can definitely see myself falling in love again. I don\u2019t think it\u2019s going to be anytime soon.<\/p>\n
“I\u2019ve talked to people about this. There [are] commitment ceremonies. I\u2019m like, \u2018I don\u2019t ever want to sign paperwork again. No, thank you. Yeah, you could still have a wedding. It\u2019s just more of a commitment ceremony. You can wear rings, but you don\u2019t need to sign papers.<\/p>\n
“I don\u2019t want to be legally [bound]. We could talk about changing names way in the future if this person is my person. [But] no paperwork!”<\/p>\n
\nThe WWE star – who was known as Nikki Bella during her performances in the ring – also admitted that she has found co-parenting with Arem to be “tough” since their split.<\/p>\n
\nShe said: “What\u2019s crazy about co-parenting is you get a schedule. It\u2019s wild that one day it\u2019s like, ‘OK, here are the days you get your son,’ and that\u2019s just what you do.<\/p>\n
\n“For me, that part is incredibly tough. I had never been in our home without him.<\/p>\n
\n“So getting through those days is extremely difficult because I just love being around my son so much.<\/p>\n
\n“I\u2019ve used words like divorce, [but] it\u2019s only been when he\u2019s asked. Everything\u2019s kind of been about us just having our own homes. You get to go see Mommy and you get to go see Daddy.<\/p>\n
\n“On Christmas, we made sure we were both there when we baked Santa\u2019s cookies. Matteo went to bed and we both were there when he woke up. Because he\u2019s our focus, we want to keep those moments.”<\/p>\n
