Danny Dyer plans to ask Robbie Williams to perform ‘Angels’ for his daughter Dani Dyer’s first dance at her upcoming wedding<\/p>\n
The former ‘EastEnders’ star, 47, joined the \u2018Let Me Entertain You\u2019 hitmaker, 50, onstage for a duet of Blur classic \u2018Parklife\u2019 at American Express presents BST Hyde Park last July, with Danny taking on fellow actor Phil Daniels’ spoken word parts.<\/p>\n
And he says Robbie \u201cowes him\u201d and should agree to perform his \u201990s hit \u2018Angels\u2019 at former \u2018Love Island\u2019 star Dani, 28, and her footballer fianc\u00e9 Jarrod Bowen\u2019s upcoming nuptials. <\/p>\n
Speaking to his daughter on their \u2018Live At Let Dyers\u2019, he said of joining Robbie onstage: \u201cI did think, \u2018Oh God, what can I ask him for a favour for?\u2019<\/p>\n
\u201cAnd then of course I thought, well, my daughter\u2019s getting married. And what better way for your first dance to be sung \u2018Angels?\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n
\nDanny also recalled how former Take That star Robbie \u2013 who has just released his biopic \u2018Better Man\u2019 \u2013 almost starred alongside him in his filthy new comedy film \u2018Marching Powder\u2019.<\/p>\n
\nHe recounted: \u201cHe was going to be in my film Marching Powder.<\/p>\n
\n\u201cWell, we was going to try and get him in, because he\u2019s a massive fan of [the film\u2019s director] Nick Love\u2019s\u2026 He gave Nick a song for our film Goodbye Charlie Bright in 2000, which was the song \u2018Kids\u2019 which he done with Kylie Minogue.\u201d<\/p>\n
\nThey\u2019d even filmed the intro scenes before it was cut after the \u2018Rock DJ\u2019 hitmaker asked to be in the flick.<\/p>\n
\nHe went on: \u201cHe\u2019s been a big fan of us ever since. And he asked to be in Marching Powder. \u201c<\/p>\n
\nYou know, we wrote a scene where I get thrown in a prison cell and he\u2019s in the prison cell.\u201d<\/p>\n
\nHowever, he and Nick decided that Robbie being a big star would detract attention from the story they were trying to tell.<\/p>\n
\nHe added: \u201cI just felt that it went a little bit too left field, do you know what I mean?<\/p>\n
\n\u201cI think it would have plucked everyone out of this sort of little story we\u2019re trying to tell too much. So we decided to not do it in the end.\u201d<\/p>\n
