Grant Ellis<\/b><\/a>\u2019 journey to find love just started to play out during season 29 of <\/span>The Bachelor<\/span><\/i><\/a>, though he has already admitted to having a difficult time during the rose ceremonies.<\/p>\n \u201cEvery rose ceremony, I struggled,\u201d Grant, 31, told E! News<\/em><\/a> in an article published on Monday, January 27. \u201cI struggled to let somebody down, and things only got harder as the season progressed.\u201d<\/p>\n Grant went on to reflect on choosing between the final two women of the season. \u201cI\u2019m happy with the ending and I\u2019m happy with how things turned out,\u201d he said. \u201cThere was a tough decision to make and it wasn\u2019t all on my part.\u201d<\/p>\n He said that the 25 women selected to date him were all \u201cso amazing,\u201d which made it difficult to say goodbye at the end of every rose ceremony<\/a>.<\/p>\n \u201cThey were so wonderful that it made it a lot harder for me as time went on,\u201d the reality star said. \u201cConnections were formed, I met families, I heard people\u2019s stories and I really started to develop a bond and cared for these ladies.\u201d<\/p>\n Fans watched Grant meet the women during the season premiere on January 27<\/span><\/a>, which included the first rose ceremony of the season. Before he sent the first batch of women home, Grant chose to <\/span>give contestant <\/span>Alexe Godin<\/b> the first impression rose<\/span><\/a>.<\/p>\n \u201cLooking back, I wouldn\u2019t have done it any other way,\u201d he told the outlet about the decision. \u201cThat night was meant for her and I really don\u2019t know if I had any runners-up, honestly.\u201d<\/p>\n Before the season premiere, a teaser clip hinted that Grant had to be nudged by host Jesse Palmer<\/strong><\/a> to choose between his final two women.<\/p>\n \u201cWe got both women, they\u2019re here on standby, and of course, I have to know which to send first,\u201d Jesse, 46, told him in the clip.<\/p>\n While fans will have to wait until the season finale to see Grant make the decision, Jesse previously reflected on filming the tense moment<\/span><\/a> during an interview with <\/span>Us Weekly<\/span><\/i><\/a>.<\/p>\n \u201cIt\u2019s not something that I want to say or I should say. I mean, it\u2019s sort of implied. Everybody gets it. But it got to the point during our conversation where it was so up in the air. I mean, we had to get it going,\u201d he told the outlet in a story published on January 21. \u201cHe\u2019s got to make a decision and we have to have an ending. And I\u2019m sorry I did it and I said it that way and to break that fourth wall, but I had to say it to help him understand. I know Grant understood, but that\u2019s kind of where it went. And that I think shows just kind of how real that was.\u201d<\/p>\n Jesse added that Grant\u2019s indecision in the moment was \u201creal.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cI don\u2019t know if you could tell from watching that from my reaction, [but] I was surprised. That was something that I haven\u2019t encountered yet as the host in the last four years on any of the franchises,\u201d the host said. \u201cNormally, I think, our leads have a little bit more clarity \u2014 a lot more clarity \u2014 heading into the final day.
