Grant Ellis<\/strong><\/a>\u2018 contestants<\/a> on season 29 of The Bachelor<\/em><\/a> were thrown for a loop when a mystery woman arrived during the premiere episode to steal the New Jersey native away for some private time.<\/p>\n As the ladies were sitting on sofas inside the Bachelor<\/em> mansion getting to know each other, a woman\u2019s high heels were shown emerging from a limo outside. The brunette was next seen walking past the contestants in a sneak preview clip obtained by People<\/em><\/a> from the Monday, January 27, episode.<\/p>\n \u201cI feel like the vibe of the group is like we\u2019re all on the same page. We\u2019re all, like, respecting the time,\u201d one of the women told the group optimistically about how they apparently agreed to let Grant, 31, have his time with each of the ladies. They stopped dead in their tracks to watch the mystery woman in a black dress stride past them.<\/p>\n \u201cWho is that? Is that a new person?\u201d one asked, while another wondered, \u201cIs that a new girl?\u201d One of the contestants even said \u201cHi\u201d to the woman, who gave no response back, as another guessed that she might be \u201can ex-girlfriend.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cWho is this person? Why are you here?\u201d contestant Natalie Phillip<\/strong>s asked in a confessional. \u201cShe means business. She\u2019s here for a reason.\u201d<\/p>\n The ladies were next shown gathering to watch as the woman headed towards Grant and Dina Lupancu<\/strong>\u2018s one-on-one time on a patio.<\/p>\n \u201cWe were making hard eye contact,\u201d the Chicago, Illinois, attorney gushed to Grant, who agreed they \u201cdefinitely were,\u201d upon meeting for the first time earlier in the evening.<\/p>\n The day trader then looked up with a nervous smile, uttering \u201cHoly s\u2013t,\u201d as the mystery woman asked if she \u201ccould steal Grant for a second.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cHe definitely knows her,\u201d one of the contestants was heard saying, while another added, \u201cTall, beautiful \u2026 are you kidding me?\u201d Contestant Rose Sombke<\/strong> said in a confessional, \u201cI cannot compare to this woman.\u201d<\/p>\n Grant previously revealed he was in a seven-year relationship before he and his ex-girlfriend split. That occurred about a year before he signed up to appear on Jenn Tran<\/strong>\u2018s season 21 of The Bachelorette<\/em><\/a>.<\/p>\n \u201cThe trajectory of what I was trying to do and where I was trying to go with my life and my goals and visions, it just ended up creating a rift in the relationship, and then we agreed to separate,\u201d he explained during an episode of \u201cThe Viall Files<\/a>\u201d podcast on August 15, 2024. Grant told host Nick Viall<\/strong> that while the breakup was \u201cpainful \u2026 a lot of the times the most painful experiences you grow from.\u201d<\/p>\n Grant ended up getting cast for Jenn\u2019s season, but he didn\u2019t win over the physician\u2019s assistant trainee. The former professional basketball player was eliminated in fifth place the week before hometown dates despite telling Jenn, 27, he was falling in love with her<\/a>.<\/p>\n \u201cI poured everything out, and it wasn\u2019t good enough,\u201d Grant confessed to producers after he was sent home by Jenn after the rose ceremony. \u201cIt just sucks knowing that you feel some way about somebody, and they don\u2019t feel the same about you.\u201d<\/p>\n
