Saturday Night Live <\/i><\/a>enlisted a slew of Hollywood A-listers to host episodes of its milestone 50th season.<\/p>\n

Jean Smart<\/strong><\/a> kicked off the season in September, making her SNL <\/i>debut alongside musical guest Jelly Roll<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

\u201cI can\u2019t tell you how honored I am to be hosting the premiere episode of season 50,\u201d the Hacks <\/i>star gushed in her opening monologue. \u201cIt is truly incredible to be here. I haven\u2019t gotten all dressed up and had hundreds of people clap for me in days.\u201d<\/p>\n

She added, \u201cI remember watching the very first episode of SNL <\/i>and thinking, \u2018Someday, I\u2019m going to host that show.\u2019 And this was the first Saturday that worked with my schedule, but it\u2019s great to be here in New York.\u201d<\/p>\n

Perhaps the most viral SNL moment of the year occurred in October when guest host Ariana Grande appeared in a wedding reception sketch, singing a cover of Sabrina Carpenter\u2019s [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Weeks later, Ariana Grande<\/strong> took over the emceeing duties. While she quickly impressed viewers with a variety of musical skits and an on-camera kiss<\/a> with Wicked <\/i>costar Bowen Yang<\/strong>, it was \u201cDomingo\u201d that stole the show.<\/p>\n

Grande portrayed a bridesmaid in a wedding reception sketch, where she and a group of SNL <\/i>cast members sang a cover of Sabrina Carpenter<\/strong>\u2019s \u201cEspresso.\u201d In this version, it was about a bride\u2019s hookup with Domingo (Marcello Hernandez<\/strong>) during her bachelorette vacation.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt exploded,\u201d cast member Sarah Sherman<\/strong> said on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon <\/i>in late October. \u201cWhen Ariana Grande did bad singing in blocking rehearsal, everyone was like, \u2018Oh, this is funny.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n

I\u2019m not sure many of you know that I\u2019m 88 and a half years old,\u201d White, who [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

A lot of puppets, tons of cocaine [and] anyway, Fred was a great guy. He\u2019s everything you thought he was.\u201d<\/p>\n
