While he and Jenn, 27, didn\u2019t find love<\/a>, he received another chance when producers chose him to be the next star of The Bachelor<\/em>. However, fans were shocked when ABC made the announcement much earlier than the network has in the past.<\/p>\n It didn\u2019t take long for ABC executive Robert Mills<\/strong> to assure fans that there wasn\u2019t anything going on behind the scenes that affected the timing of the announcement.<\/p>\n \u201cWe are announcing Grant so quickly so people can still apply to be on his season,\u201d Robert wrote via X<\/a>. \u201cIf you think Grant is potentially the man of your dreams or you know someone who is apply ASAP!!!\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cAfter an emotional exit, Grant Ellis\u2019 journey to find love will continue as he takes on the role of leading man for the upcoming 29th season of The Bachelor<\/em>,\u201d Grant\u2019s bio<\/a> for the series reads. \u201cThe adventurous day trader, who captured the hearts of Bachelor Nation with his genuine desire to build a future centered around family, will be handing out roses when his season premieres next year on ABC.\u201d<\/p>\n The bio went on to add that Grant is a \u201cself-proclaimed mama\u2019s boy\u201d with an \u201cinfectious smile and unwavering positivity.\u201d When he\u2019s not working, Grant can be found cheering on the Lakers, bowling or enjoying a night of karaoke. As for what Grant considers to be an ideal match for him, he \u201chopes to find a partner who shares his values of loyalty, humor and a deep appreciation for life\u2019s simple pleasures.\u201d<\/p>\n Grant also opened up about what he looks for in a partner shortly after his new role was revealed during an August 2024 episode of the \u201cBachelor Happy Hour<\/a>\u201d podcast with former Bachelor<\/em> stars Joe Amabile<\/strong> and Serena Pitt<\/strong>.<\/p>\n \u201cI want somebody who has a heart for other people,\u201d Grant said at the time. \u201cI want somebody who has a heart for other people, somebody who\u2019s not self-absorbed, somebody who is affectionate, who\u2019s kind.
