Craig Conover<\/strong><\/a> was ready to settle down with Paige DeSorbo<\/strong><\/a> before the two split, but it just wasn\u2019t in the cards.<\/p>\n \u201cIf it was up to me, we would just be engaged, but she changes her mind a lot about stuff. Ya know?\u201d Craig, 35, told his Southern Charm<\/em> costar Shep Rose<\/strong> during the Thursday, January 23, episode. \u201cOne day she\u2019ll text me and say, \u2018Let\u2019s build a f\u2013king farmhouse in the middle of nowhere,\u2019 or like, you know, \u2018I\u2019m moving to Charleston.\u2019 But then she\u2019ll have a good day in New York and be like, \u2018I love it up here.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n The Sewing Down South founder continued later in the episode, \u201cIt gets confusing. I think that\u2019s life, right? It\u2019s a bunch of decisions and compromise.\u201d<\/p>\n Southern Charm<\/em> season 10<\/a> was filmed in the spring and summer of 2024, months before Paige, 32, and Craig went their separate ways after dating for over three years. The Summer House<\/em> star announced the news<\/a> during the December 30, 2024, episode of her podcast, \u201cGiggly Squad<\/a>,\u201d with Hannah Berner<\/strong>.<\/p>\n \u201cCraig and I have decided to no longer be together,\u201d Paige explained. \u201cI love him, I think he loves me. I think we will remain friends. No one did anything. It wasn\u2019t a bad thing. I think we both were just being really mature and saying what we want and what we didn\u2019t want, and I think that\u2019s extremely powerful to be able to voice how you\u2019re feeling in real time and what you want for your future.\u201d<\/p>\n She added, \u201cI have so much love and respect for Craig. I think he is one of the best people I have ever met in my entire life. I will remain the biggest fan of him and want the best for him and he truly will get the best because he is the best. But with that said, I think it was just the right decision for both of us moving forward in our lives and the direction in our lives that we didn\u2019t force.\u201d<\/p>\n However, one week later, Craig broke his silence on their split and admitted he was shocked by Paige\u2019s decision.<\/p>\n \u201cI figured it\u2019s finally time to check in with everyone. Sorry about the delay, this has all been very, very unexpected to say the least \u2026\u201d Craig told fans via his Instagram Stories on January 7. \u201cBut I guess I gotta start living again, whatever that looks like. Whatever my new normal looks like \u2014 I have to start.\u201d<\/p>\n The Bravolebrity said that the breakup happened \u201cright before the holidays\u201d before he shared more insight.<\/p>\n \u201cI was very shocked. And it\u2019s OK. It takes two people to be in a relationship and you can\u2019t control other people, you can only control how you react to it. Remember to be kind to Paige and me and yourselves and all of that good stuff,\u201d he added. \u201cI\u2019m still processing everything, which is normal. It\u2019s a three-year relationship, it\u2019s your best friend who you talk to all day everyday, and then they\u2019re just gone.
