Grant Ellis<\/b><\/a> is looking for love during season 29 of <\/span>The Bachelor<\/span><\/i><\/a>, and he knew going into the process that his future wife would not be a gossip.<\/p>\n \u201cIt\u2019s really easy for somebody to tell you what they want, but I think that actions speak louder than words,\u201d Grant, 31, told People<\/em><\/a> in an interview published on Friday, January 24. \u201cI think that there\u2019s a certain maturity level that comes with wanting a family and wanting a long-lasting relationship, so I think that maturity was something that I looked for in these women. And if they\u2019re starting drama, or if they\u2019re gossiping, or if they\u2019re doing certain things, that just indicates a lack of maturity.\u201d<\/p>\n While drama is inevitable on The Bachelor<\/em>, Grant shared that he didn\u2019t want to jump to conclusions if a contestant was caught up in certain conflicts.<\/p>\n \u201cIn a situation like that, where any move you make is really pivotal, I think that me waiting until I had all the evidence and then making a decision was the best move on the chessboard,\u201d he said. \u201cGet the facts and don\u2019t jump the gun.\u201d<\/p>\n In addition to girls that love drama<\/a>, Grant also revealed that there were other red flags he was looking for going into the season.<\/p>\n \u201cFor me, a red flag is somebody who\u2019s too self-absorbed,\u201d he told the outlet. \u201cI like when somebody\u2019s compassionate and somebody has a heart for other people because that\u2019s the way I am, so I feel like it has to mesh with how I feel. And then hygiene is a big thing for me, too!\u201d<\/p>\n Grant made his reality TV debut during Jenn Tran<\/strong>\u2019s season of The Bachelorette<\/em><\/a>, and he admitted that viewers didn\u2019t get a clear look into his personality on the show.<\/p>\n \u201cOn Jenn\u2019s season I didn\u2019t really get to show who I was: my personality, my sense of humor and just the way I am on an everyday basis,\u201d he said. \u201cI think that that\u2019ll come across in the season. Hopefully people get to know my story, and hopefully it inspires some people.\u201d<\/p>\n Now that Grant is the one handing out roses, he revealed that each rose ceremony was \u201cdifficult\u201d for him.<\/p>\n \u201cAnd then as time progresses, you get to know these women better, and they\u2019re so great, they put their hearts out there,\u201d he said. \u201cSo that was the hard part, just letting somebody down that their heart was in it. That was really tough for me, but it\u2019s something that was a step forward in me finding my person, so that\u2019s something that I\u2019m happy about.\u201d<\/p>\n While it\u2019s not known if he ends up engaged at the end of his season, a teaser clip revealed that Grant was conflicted<\/a> when it came down to the final two women. \u201cWe got both women, they\u2019re here on standby, and of course, I have to know which to send first,\u201d host Jesse Palmer<\/em> told him in the clip.<\/p>\n
