Britney Spears<\/strong><\/a> will be heavily involved in her upcoming biopic and she\u2019s weighing up a raft of big names to star in the project \u2013 with Natalie Portman<\/strong> and Selena Gomez<\/strong> way up high on the list.<\/span><\/p>\n Hot off the success of Wicked<\/em>, which received 10 Academy Award nominations, director Jon M. Chu<\/strong> discussed his next endeavor, which is based on Britney\u2019s memoir, The Woman in Me<\/em>. Speaking with Billboard<\/em> on the Golden Globes red carpet on January 6, he said the pop princess would be \u201cvery involved\u201d in the project.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n \u201cI\u2019ve been a fan since I was young and she was young and she was one of 12 acts at the Shrine Auditorium,\u201d Jon, 45, said. \u201cSo I want to do her justice and tell her story right. But we\u2019ll see. We\u2019re developing it now and it\u2019s a long road ahead.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n \u201cShe\u2019s going to be very involved<\/a>,\u201d the director added. \u201cI haven\u2019t really started anything fully yet, but she will be very involved in this.
